We have 2 boys ages, 4 and 2. This will be our first trip to disney with the children. We are planning to go at the end of August 2002. I feel completely overwhelmed by the choices of resorts. I have very active children and would like to stay where they will not disturb honeymooners and others. We definately would like to stay in one of the disney resorts, I just can not decide . The choices I am considering are AK, Coronado Springs, Poly, Boardwalk , Beachclub and the GF ( afraid will be too confining for the kids). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!::confused:

Hi and welcome to the DIS! You've picked some great resorts, and all have their own merits.
The GF and Poly would be choices for honeymooners, but then again, so would most of the hotels. One big benefit is the monorail. YOu've got two parks at your fingertips basically due to the monorail being right there.
From what I unerstand the BC/YC has a great pool for kids. Having never been there maybe someone else can elaborate on this.
DH and I were at CSR last December and we thought that it was great. It is a big resort though, so little legs might have a hard time getting from place to place if you're not in one of the closer buildings. A CM at the dig site at CSR told me that he thought it was the best moderate pool for kids. Not having DD with me at the time, I can't really say.
I can tell you that DH and I are planning a trip in 9/03 for AKL concierge with (then almost 3 y.o.) DD. We figure that she'll really enjoy the animals being outside her window. I would think that a 2 and 4 y.o. would also enjoy this feature. THe only problem with the AKL, from what I hear, is the fact that it's so far removed from everything else. You might find this a hassle if your little ones want to go back to the pool or to nap mid-afternoon.
I hope that this helps give you at least a little bit more info! Enjoy your vacation!

I would stay at either the Poly or GF. You can't beat the Monorail for convienence, especially with young kids. You will also spend most of your time at the MK with your two young ones. We have two boys, 4 and 6, and you would be suprised how many kids there are at the GF and Poly. After all it's Disney World!
