Help !!!

Well, we ARE going!! :) :) So far so good, I booked our (free) hotels yesterday, 2 nights at Crowne Plaza, 3 nights at the Peacock. Not my first choices in hotels but you can't beat free! LOL We are getting there on Saturday, not sure if we will fly or drive yet, depends on $$. I'm going in expecting crowds to be heavier on Saturday and Sunday and hoping only to ride HMH and IASWH, everything else will be a bonus!! Hopefully after that Monday crowds will lessen but I am aware they may not. DBF's b-day is on the 7th so we will be there for that and we are leaving the 8th. :) I'm super excited, I'm going to make better LGMH's and I hope to run into at least 1 other Dis'er while there, Jasmine, it would be awesome if it was you! :)

Sherry and Krissy are right - go for the whole weekend. Take your time with it and ignore any crowds, since re-discovering the little things are really what matters.

Dang it - We'll be at WDW from Jan 1st to the 10th, so we won't get to pop in on you this time!

The most important thing I learned last year (and also back in 2000) in regards to the IASWH ride is to ride it in the daytime! It was almost as if nobody knew it was a holiday ride last year when we got on it in the afternoon. We went on it both on a Friday and a Saturday in the daytime and had very little wait. In fact, one of those times, we just waltzed right on. I recall it being that way back in 2000 as well. But as soon as nighttime rolls around and those gorgeous lights appear on the facade of IASWH, the crowds flock like moths to a flame. I could not believe how long the line for IASWH was at night, almost twisting around into ToonTown, simply because people suddenly became aware of the fact that it was a different ride! In the daytime, the exterior is cute but nothing spectacular, although the ride inside is totally revamped. This year, I suspect that the daytime lines will be slightly more imposing because IASW has been closed down all year, and this will attract people who have missed it. But I still would bet that the really ominous lines will appear at night, as soon as that awesome light display becomes visible. So ride it in the daytime, but walk by it at night just to see how stunningly beautiful it is and snap some great photos!!
