Help!!!!!

Just a quick thought to add, if she hasn't gotten all of her ducks in a row yet. She might want to try the Plaza restaurant in MK - from what I understand you can make an ADR and they don't fill up all that quickly. (But those who have reviewed it seem to love it)

I second what someone said about Beaches and Cream and ESPN... the first has the Kitchen Sink and the latter would probably be good for a ten year old boy.

Somebody mentioned the Trails End Buffet and the way it came up I wouldn't be surprised if they have openings (it sounded like one of those hidden gem type of places.)

Also don't forget to suggest the Chip & Dale Campfire event.

I had a similar situation with friends of ours taking their 11 and 12 year old DS's for the first time. Even though I preached about making ADR's, they didn't make one. They were there 7/5 thru 7/14. Biggest difference with your situation is that they were not on the dining plan. They had a great time and only ate at one TS (Yak & Yeti) the whole time they were there. The meals are important to us, but just weren't to them. They did take my unofficial guide with them and utilized fastpass. I told them what rides to run to first in each park and they kinda did their own thing from there.

Is there any way your coworker can remove the dining plan? Does Disney allow you to change that at checkin? She may be better off using that money for their food and trying one of the offsite character meals like at the Swan.

I have a friend going for the first time and simply "believing".
I, too, printed out out the DDP info and sent her a book!

I also (this is a good friend):
Made a sheet for each park with
- Must do attractions
- Counter service restaurants for lunch
- My suggestions for T/S
- What to do when they arrive (stressing rope drop)

They were confused about a couple of things but realize that since I've been over twenty times, I must know what I'm talking about.

I would suggest you have her make a chart for each day with what parks they are going to, their ADR numbers, etc. and then one sheet for each park.

Sounds like you should also have her find out if she has hoppers and water parks, especially with a clueless travel agent.

PM me, if you want me to send the chart I do for my trips, with where I'm going/dining each day.

I feel bad that your in the middle but its sweet of you to help. I think you would help her big time by sending her here and giving her the link to all aers menu page fo her to start working on her vacation. Its so sad that her agent hasnt been a big help. This board will be the biggest help ever. If it wasnt for this board i would be completely lost on my 1st trip to wdw in Nov. It would have truly been a disaster and i would have felt i wasted lots of money. I think i would have been overwhelmed. Before researching this i really thought wdw was 1 park. I was getting confused with MK, AK, MGS/HS and epcot. I'm so grateful tohave found this MB even though I might not go back to wdw for 5 years or ever(finances) i will still come here and learn. I think any of us are qualified more than some travel agents-lol!

Anyways another great link is this one, the pic of food. Pass this info to your co-worker and its her turn to take over her own vacation

Uh oh! I forgot all about this thread. Sorry! They had a fantastic time and she desperately wants to go back. They were able to get into Chef Mickey's, Mama Melrose, Coral Reef, Yak & Yeti, and I forgot what else. Believe it or not, their favorite meal was Toy Story Planet. Go figure! That's one of the few restaurants I've never eaten at. She insists I have to try it on my next trip. We'll see.

Oh Kathy! It looks like I am going to miss you by one day in May. I hate that! I'll be there May 9th-17th. Depending on what time you are leaving out on the 9th, maybe we can hook up to ride Expedition Everest a time, or two, or maybe three? Oh, well, I'll see you on the cruise in a couple of months. Can't wait! Except, I now have to go shoe shopping again. Yesterday my akita ate the silver rhinestone sandals I looked all over for, to go with my formal dresses. I loved those shoes and never got to wear them:sad1: . I don't know what got into him. He ate a pillow, a rattan rocker, and a couch when he was a puppy, but the only other thing he has eaten in the last couple of years has been my PassPorter Treasure Hunt book that he ate a couple of months ago. Other than that, he has never even offered to bother any of our stuff, so why he decided to eat those particular shoes I don't know.:confused3 I swear I'm going to kill that dog.:rotfl:
