I've stayed at all three and if the price difference doesn't hurt your wallet too much then definitley stay at WL. The location is so much better than AKL and the theming is so much better than CSR for the kids. WL was the last of the three that I stayed at and didn't go into it thinking I would like it, but I feel in love with it! It really is a beautiful resort and that boat ride home is so relaxing compared to being crammed into a packed bus. The other thing we love about WL and AKL are the bunk beds. My kids don't do well in the same bed so at CSR I have to sleep with my daughter. The bunk beds solve that problem and I acutally get to sleep with my husband. A big plus! Without a doubt, I'd pick WL if I could swing the $$$.

We are going to WDW in December and are trying to pick the best resort for our family -- mom, dad, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son.

We've got it narrowed down to the Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Coronado Springs.

Opinions, please!!

I voted for the WL assuming that with two young children you will be spending most of your time at the MK.

I voted for AKL. But that's assuming your kids like animals. Keep in mind that CSR is only going to have full size beds. At AKL and WL you can get a queen size bed and bunk beds for the kids. This way they each have their own bed.

I'd have to say look at holiday pictures of both WL and AKL and pick your resort of that process. With MK so close, it might be a great option unless you want to have lots to do at your resort then AKL would be a great choice.

Based on the age of the kids, stay close to the MK. It's the WL that gets our vote.

I can't begin to thank you all for sharing your opinions about the best place for us to stay!!

Please keep them coming. We are making our decision soon!!!

Another vote for WL. With kids that age, you'll probably spend most of your time at MK. They'd probably enjoy taking the boat there. :)

We've stayed at the Coronado a couple of times b/c my dh was at a conference there. I was not impressed. Others may disagree but I found it to be crowded and minimal. After reading about some of the other resorts like POrleans, I think that CS was a bit boring. The rooms were no different than a standard hotel. One time our fridge didn't work (granted we didn't call and request another one.) The worst was last time when our room REEKED of smoke even though it was "non-smoking." We called mousekeeping to have them do something and they said they would bring some spray up for us. I told them we wanted a new air filter put in the AC unit and they said sure...but it never happened. We thought about changing to another room but were too exhausted to do it that night when we arrived plus our child was sound asleep. The restaurants are pretty nice though they can get crowded with meetings in the hotel. Just remember that the CS is a business like hotel b/c it's got a convention center and hosts lots and lots of meetings. That all being said, I would stay at one of the other two resorts...they all sound lovely and the pp have all said they are fun for kids and beautiful and close to the MK. If you are thinking of going with a moderate instead of a deluxe, I recommend looking at the other moderates instead of CS. :) Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

The WL is an AWESOME resort.....especially around Christmas time :santa:. The lodge is absolutely beautiful to begin with, but add Christmas decorations and it is even better :goodvibes. I think the WL beats out all the other resorts when it comes to Christmas decorations :thumbsup2. We are booked for our 3rd WL stay this December :cool1: :cool1:. The theming is great.....I don't think you will be disappointed if you choose the WL ;). Good luck and happy planning :)

Okay, we have ressies for AKL. :) Now...let's see if we change our minds before we go!

Thanks, again, for all of the great help!

We have done all 3 and AKL is our choice. Bus service is fantastic and the kids will love the animals. It has the largest pool on property and a ton of activities for the kid. WL was pretty but the transportation was poor and there was a lack of stuff for the kids to do.

We were staying at WL and changed to AKL (well, a few changes in between ;) ) My sons will be 6 and almost 4 and we're doing AKL for 9 days in Sept :) Enjoy wherever you stay!!!
