Help!!!

We are going to WDW in December and are trying to pick the best resort for our family -- mom, dad, 6 year old daughter and 4 year old son.

We've got it narrowed down to the Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Coronado Springs.

Opinions, please!!

I think your kids are the perfect age to enjoy the animals at AKL. Have fun planning!!!

We have only stayed at CSR of the three and we loved it!!

That said, if I could afford a good room at AKL I would that. or WL also would be an awesome choice for proximity to MK.

Didn't help much, I know, but I don't think you can make a bad choice of these!

Personally, I would pick the WL. We stayed there on our last trip and we all loved it. The theme is amazing. The DS's loved the boat rides to the MK, and to the CR. We never had any problem with the buses.
Whichever you pick, I'm sure you'll have a magical trip.

I loved the WL at Christmas time. AKL is a bit far out but heard it has a good bus system. But for my money you can't go wrong with WL

AKL....love it!

I'm not sure when you'll be there in December, but this past Christmas Eve, at dinnertime, Mickey & Minnie (dressed in their holiday outfits) were in the lobby for pictures & autographs. They were positioned right in front of the huge Christmas tree.

**Oh, Santa Claus was there too!!

**We love AKL, but we always have our own vehicle, so we don't have to rely on the buses.

For little kids - AKL, OR WL. It's animals vs a boat to MK basically.

I've stayed at AKL and WL (and 2 other moderates but not CSR) and I'd recommend the Wilderness Lodge, based on the ages of your children.

AKL is wonderful as well, but the boat access to the MK from the WL will be a lot of fun, and time-saving, for all of you.

I agree... WL is so beautiful at Christmas time... You can also do the carriage ride in December.... and we always love the boat access to the MK...

AKL is great for kids your age because of the pool and the animals... But the pool is likely out because of the weather in December... Yes, the animals are great... My boys loved seeing the animals all around the resort and out of our window... But you are asking about Christmas time...

Put AKL on your list for you next trip and maybe make a dining reservation there for this trip to see the animals around the public viewing areas.

CSR is our favorite...we'll be there for the seventh time this September. We have not stayed at the other two. We would love to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but with two kids in college that just can't be justified for the money. But since your kids are young, that would also be a good choice for you.

AKL the design of the resort is perfect and being able to look out your window in the morning and see animals roaming around is pretty cool.

our personal pick is WL. AKL, we stayed there once, not impressed, far away, limited animals on Savannah only at feeding, grounds limited and hallways quite long. CSR, stayed there once also, nice resort, don't like outside doors prefer resort under one roof, long walk to pool, too spread out, many bus stops, not Disney feeling.

Wilderness Lodge, location is tops, close to MK, boat ride there, FW, and CR to catch monorail, like being on the MK lakes, resort all under one roof, fantastic theming and pool all right out any door and very secluded atmosphere, quiet and alot of places to stroll plus the EWP every night.

All great options, but nothing beats WL at Christmas time! DH and I loved it. We also did the horse-drawn carriage ride, which I highly recommend, perfect for the season!!

Depends what you want to spend. I would go with AKL if I decided on a deluxe or CSR if I wanted to spend less for a mod.

I love AKL, I also love WL. For you I'd pick WL becaue the kids will love the boat and the proximity to MK will be very nice. I'm sure thats every kids favorite park by far. The animals at AKL would be very good too, and its not really that far away but its nice taking the boat to and from MK because you always feel so close to it. You can also watch the lit up floats at night at WL.

I think WL has the best Christmas decorations by far. The CSR ones are nice, but not in the same league. I just don't see a positive with your group and going to CSR except saving some money. This is a big plus of course, but I think the experience will be superior at either AKL or WL, particularly for kids. I don't know that your kids wouldn't like a value more than a mod though. The entire family would probably get the most out of the deluxe.
