I am looking for help on planning a trip for myself and my husband that is kid free.
I think we are looking for a nice get away

well...i am sure there are lots of us willing to help!:thumbsup2 But could you give us a little more info?...When were you planning on going? Do you have a certain budget? :confused3 Are you looking for help with resorts only?:goodvibes

If you have a budget it'd help to post it along with how long you hope to go for. If you don't have a budget, that info is useful too as I'm sure there are some who can spend whatever they like on WDW and the tips for those would be different then the tips for someone who has to keep it under some particular number.

Seeing that you have no kids though, look at when you want to go (dont have to worry about school). Some very nice times of year that aren't crowded are the first weeks of December, January/Feb but not during holiday weekends, very late april and early may. December you get all the holiday decor and very low crowds. All those times are cheaper than other times too. The weather isnt repressive as it can be in sept/oct too.

Not sure if you are a kid-free couple or just taking a trip without the kids. DH and I are leaving our kids at home, taking advantage of the free dining plan and heading down to Disney in Sept for a few nights to celebrate our anniversary. The main thing we are looking forward to is just being alone and doing what we want, when we want. Here is some of what we have planned so far.

Dinner at Raglan Road in DD to hear the band, then on to Pleasure Island for a night at the Adventurer's Club.

Dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe and then a walk along the lake over to Poly to find a hammock and watch the MK fireworks. I am going to order a Castle Cake to celebrate our anniversary.

An entire afternoon in WS at Epcot snacking, drinking and seeing some of the entertainment there.

A few hours at our resort pool with cold drinks and a good book.

I thought about doing afternoon tea at GF but I don't know how much DH would enjoy it so that is still up in the air. Also thinking about trying one of the couples massages at either GF or CSR.

Holding hands, talking to eachother, people watching, walking slowly and just relaxing.

There are so many activities in addition to the parks, your possibilities are endless. You could do everything your heart's desire or absolutely nothing at all. Hope you have a great get-a-way. :)

DH and I went in Oct '07 without any kids and it was fantastic. We could walk as much as we wanted or not, and we ate at places that we knew didn't have chicken nuggets. I visited my dream resort, GF, and didn't worry too much about whinning... well at least from kids anyway.:lmao: It was a much needed vacation as DH met the jaws of a shark on our vaca to Hawaii. But that's a whole other story. Have a great trip! We actually enjoyed our "kid free" vacation.
