I need advice. I have a family trip planned for December. There were 12 of us going. Me and my 2 sisters were staying in one room-but 1 sister is backing out. I booked through AAA and expect a change fee of some sort but all of my dining reservations were made with her included. I will have to call about Hoop Dee Doo and cancel her but the rest of the ressies can we just show up and tell them we are 1 short? I'm afraid they will make me cancel and re book and we will lose all of them. I also have a ticket for her for the Christmas party that is non refundable. I'm so sad-I thought we would have a great time together. Thank you in advance for all your help.

Keep them and just tell them when you check-in you are 1 short. That's not a big deal. We have had ADR's in the past and surprising met up with friends whom we didn't know were going to the park that day. We added on 2 at check-in and they were fine with it. Perhaps a little wait but they were more than happy to accommodate.

This has happened to us before and it wasn't a problem. My parents thought they might have been able to come to WDW with us in 2004, so I made all ADR's counting them in. When they decided they couldn't come, we left all the ADR's as they were and just checked in at each restaurant with 5 people instead of 7 - it was no problem at any of the restaurants. Your ADR pretty much means that once you sign in at your time, you're given the next spot on the list of people waiting for a table, so I don't think one person more or less matters too much.
