Help with WL room choice

Ok, I finally made a decision about which resort, WL. It was a tough choice between CB, CS and BC, but WL it is. I tried to read the WL faq thread but there are something like 108 pages. I would love to sit and read each one, but I've spent so much time on the computer the last few weeks researching our upcoming vacation my kids think the computer is now attached to my hands! I chose a standard room. Any help with room location would be appreciated. Also, would I be happier with upgrading to another view? Any other comments or suggestions about WL would be great. Thanks.

I chose a standard room 2 years ago (well we weren't really given a choice on our package from the UK). I ended up getting room 4034 which gave us a view of MK and some of the fireworks. It was an end balcony and looked down to the otter pond. We really liked it. However, I'm told that that may have been an upgrade to woods view, so we now try to book woods view with the hope of getting a MK view.

Hello! I know it is a tough choice choosing between resorts, but I know you will love WL!! I had orginally booked a standard room (with no specific location preference) and we were upgraded to a poolview room on the fifth floor, MK side--I believe it was #5015. I loved this location! It was very close to the lobby elevator, which lets you off right by Roaring Forks snacks, and it was very close to the boat launch. To be honest, I could have lived without the pool view. The ambience wasn't great, and it was noisy when we sat outside on the balcony. I think I would have been fine in the standard view room. Hope this helps!

There are quite a few rooms (courtyard view) which will give you a view of the pool, geyser, and lake. These are the best rooms in my opinion as far as views go. I'm not sure if Couryard would be considered an upgrade, but if you can get a view of the lake I would definitely reccommend it.
