We are looking at finally buying DVC, but we have no idea what month to buy in at. Is there a better month then another? We are all over the board when we like to visit Disney. Love F&G, SWW, MNSSHP, and MVMCP so that does not help LOL. Just looking for a little input. Still not sure where we are going to buy in(have it down to AK, VWL, or VGF) Any help would be great!

the short answer is that you get a little bit of "insurance" on your reservation if you travel early in your Use Year. i have an Oct UY because i like to go in Nov and Dec when the weather is cooler. i never want to go to central FL in July/Aug/Sept because it's too hot, and fortunately those months are late in my Oct UY so i never risk traveling after my banking window has closed.

but UY has nothing to do with when you can book a stay (that is based completely on home resort) and if you never have to cancel, UY will probably never be an issue.

here are more details:

Agree with chalee ...... if you don't cancel your reservations, it really won't matter.

You may want to consider getting two different contracts so that you have two HRs with two different banking windows.
One earlier in the year (Feb or Apr) and one later (Aug or Sept).
You can use banking and borrowing to book near parks resorts (your HR at 11 months) for the times/events you want to attend.

if you travel to wdw multiple times in the same year, this would be a good plan.

if you are once a year or once-every-other-year, i would just pick the 3 month period you are least likely to travel (for me, july/aug/sept) and pick the UY that starts right after that (for me, oct).
