I am trying to help my parents plan a WDW vacation in 2007. They are plaaning to do a 3 day stay at Disney, go on a 4 day Disney cruise, and then back to Disney for 3 days. They are trying to figure out whether to book as a land/sea package, or book separately. My question is: IF they offer free dining in 2007 in Sept. and IF there are new restrictions as there are for UK guests (5 night min. stay, 5 night min. ticket), would a split stay still count toward the minimum stay requirement? Or is this considered two separate stays and one of them would have to have be at least 5 days (the ticket won't be a problem - they will have 7 day Hoppers) Any ideas??? :confused3
Thanks for the help!

A split stay between two different resorts still requires a minimum pass purchase at each resort.

Your question is a split stay that isn't even continuous. My guess is you'd have to meet any minimum stay requirements during a continuous stay at one resort. Do you think Disney would let a guest book 2 days in the end of August and come back for 3 days in the end of September. I don't.

You said they'll have 7 day hoppers. In order to qualify for free dining you have to purchase your park passes as part of your package.

No, I don't think so either. I guess I was hoping that if we booked the trip all together through Disney that it would be looked at as a 10 day Disney vacation. 3 nights Poly - 4 nights Cruise - 3 nights Poly. It IS 10 continuous days, it's not like there is a month in between the stays, but the resort stay is broken up by the cruise. Also, they WOULD be purchasing 7 day hoppers as a part of their vacation (whether it is the land/sea package or MYW package) - they do not already have them. I just meant that it wouldn't be a factor in determining if they would be eligible for free dining (if it is even offered).

We don't know if Disney will even be offering free dining in 2007 let alone what the terms will be. It's certainly plausible that some type of package might be offered in combination with a cruise.

I'd probably have an alternate plan of just doing 6 straight days at WDW.
