So I booked a 1 bdrm at BCV for DEC 3-6 the 1st day that I could for hubby and me. Now my son, daughter in law, infant grandson and adult daughter have all decided they would like to come too. I called today knowing that nothing in a 2 bdrm would be available , so waitlisted. But there are three kinds of 2 bdrms at BCV and I could only waitlist two kinds. Adding a studio would work too, but couldn't waitlist that because I already had my two. So here are my questions:

Is there a type of 2 bdrm that would be more likely to become available, standard, dedicated or lockoff?

Should I be waitlisting day by day or all three days together( really didn't want to move with the baby, but the last night was available this morning.)

What if I did day by day and we ended up with more than one type of 2 bdrm, we would still have to be moving, right?

Should I keep calling about the lock off and studio options, since I couldn't waitlist them?

Is there a best time to call each day?

And lastly, is there any chance that any of this will come through for us?

Thanks so much!

There are only dedicated and lockoff. Within dedicated there are two booking categories: Queen/Sofa, or Queen/Queen. Lockoff is the 3rd booking category. I personally find this annoying, and don't understand why one cannot just say "I'll take any of the 3", but that's a different conversation for a different day.
The most likely 2 BR's to come through are the lockoffs (all have queen/sofa) and the dedicateds WITHOUT the 2 queens. Those are the two categories to Waitlist, the 2 queen category only comprises something like 25 units, and is very unlikely to come through.

If any of the nights are available, book them. 2 nights are more likely than 3 to come through. 3 nights are going to be hard to get. Keep calling, and add any nights that become available.

Yes, you'd have to move. But at least you'd have something, and it's easier to move down the hall then to a different resort. Also, if you book a different type of 2 BR you can still maintain a waitlist for that night for the room you want

If you have not booked any of the 3 nights, I would change the waitlist to include the lock offs and dedicated with 1 queen/1sofa, and call about the dedicated with 2 queens and the studios. This is simply based on the numbers

There is no pressing reason to call at exactly 9, so I wouldn't worry too much about what time you call.

And lastly, is there any chance that any of this will come through for us?

We are staying at BCV from 11/14-11/20, 6 nights, in a 2 BR. We had a waitlist for the first and last nights, and they came through about 2 weeks ago. It took about 8 weeks for them to come through. Call frequently, stay on top of it and hopefully you will get what you want. I would strongly consider an alternative/backup; as in a 2 BR elsewhere. But yes, there is a chance for sure that it can come through.

Thanks so much![/QUOTE]
