Help with Villas at Wilderness Lodge

So here goes:

We are RCI members and set up an ongoing search to trade our week and received a hit today for a one bedroom unit at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

There are 2 adults and 3 kids (11, 9, and 9) traveling and if I am correct the occupancy for this room is for 4 adults and one child under 3. Some sites say 4 to 5 but that you have to provide your own bedding for the 5th person. Several other boards have conveyed that we could all stay in the unit. With FP+ I'm not sure that will work though.

My concern is that we will not be able to make the same FP+ reservations because of the occupancy difference.

1. If we do the trade on RCI how do I link the room to our tickets?
2. Will it be an issue to make the FP+ reservations because of the occupancy problem?

I hope this all makes sense.

When you trade in you will receive a resort confirmation number. You link that number to MDE and you're good to go for FP+.

You don't have an occupancy problem at all. 5 are absolutely officially allowed in the VWL 1BR. What you do have is a bedding problem. You do have to provide bedding (air mattress etc) and towels for the fifth person. VWL is my home resort and I have a family of five; I'm certain on these facts.

Ironically enough, the studios at VWL do have sleeping accommodation for five. They have a Murphy bed whereas the 1BR do not. It's the only Disney resort where this is the case, and just became that way with the early 2014 refurb.

If you want Disney-provided bedding for five at WDW in a 1BR, your choices are BLT, OKW, AKV except value, or VGF. Every other 1BR on property except the AKV value officially allows five to stay, you just have to provide bedding for the fifth person.

I don't know this for sure, but I thought I had read here that RCI trades did not get the "5 allowed in the 4 occupancy 1 BR" thing that DVC direct bookings get. I know you don't if you book through Disney and I thought I had read here that the same was true for RCI trades.

Don't panic, OP, I may be wrong, but maybe if there's someone who has actually done it or actually knows could confirm.
