Help with tye die!!!

OK- I was finally brave enough to try the mickey head tye die, and the head spread past the dental floss. What did I do wrong. I pulled the floss TIGHT!!! My dh thinks maybe I put too much dye on that part. I am looking for any suggestions.

With not seeing any pics, and with the info you gave, you tied the dental floss tight and then put rubber bands around the dental floss, right? So you were binding the mickey head away from the rest of the shirt?

In any event, don't worry about the dye spreading. It happens to lots of us. You can touch it up with a paintbrush and a clorox bleach pen, or a white fabric marker. No worries - I'm sure they are perfect just the way you created them!
