It has been many years since we have been to WDW (I think '07 was the last time). I used to know all the "ins and outs" of booking a trip too WDW, since we were going every year or so. This trip, our son is now 23 years old and will be bringing his girlfriend - a long with my husband and I - so, we are thinking 2 rooms at one of the All stars (Since we are combining wdw with a trip to the beach and also, to visit my father). So, please guide me as to where I can get the most accurate rack rate prices. I first went to some websites, that I remember - Mousesavers and All ears net. Then I went to Disneys site and did a mock booking. On All ears net, they don't have 2014 prices listed, but they do have 2013 and there is a $50/night difference on the Disney site. I am sure prices will increase, but $50? I am thinking of booking for early May 2014 since my son can't take vacation until March. At that time, of year, I know, you have spring break and then Easter in April, so, that is why we are thinking May.

Your best bet is to plug your dates into the Disney site. Prices have gone up from 2013 rates, but how much depends on resort, room type and dates. For example, for our dates, AKL only went up $9/night.

on the disney site you have to remember they are showing you the room price with tax. IE our 1560$ room cost for POR in march was really $1380+tax

Tax won't make a $50 difference though.

I just spent a few days pricing out our vacations using the disney website for room prices for the dates I wanted and then adding on the child priced tickets and dining plan (stay/play/dine pincode) and my numbers came out almost to the penny of what I was told our final prices were when I booked them on the phone. So the disney website is pretty accurate.

You can click "View Nightly Rate", and it will show the rate for each night without tax.
