Our flight arrives on a Saturday at 1:55. Would a 6 p.m. dinner ADR probably give us plenty of time to get to the hotel and check in, then shuttle to the park? It needs to be early enough to satisfy our 18-month old DD and get her to bed by 8, but late enough that we have time to make it.

I'm thinking of starting with Tony's at the MK. Never eaten there before!

Or, since we may have so little time at the park (having a tired baby with us), would it be better to pick a place at DTD? Recommendations?

I hope that's enough time, because we arrive at 4:55pm and an 8:05pm ADR

Do you have a car or are you doing Magical Express? You should have enough time, but, have a "plan B" just in case. Taking the bus, checking in and finding our room we barely made our dinner res (even though we landed a little after noon).

If you really want to be home at 8:00, I'd consider eating at DTD or at a resort. Maybe 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Kona, or Grand Floridian Cafe? These choices would be easy to get to - bus to MK then monorail or boat to resort. Unless, of course, you really want to be in the park the first night.

Also, if you don't have a car and you're tight on time, a cab is always an option. A cab ride is especially appealing on the way home from a restaurant when you're just too tired for the bus.;)

a 6:00 dinner (if you are seated on time) is about an hour. so you should hopefully be seated and done eating by 7:30. I can see you at or near your resort for 8, but having her tucked in for 8 most likely won't happen

buses do make htem sleepy though :)

I am landing at 4:55 also. I have ADR for 8:30 at 1900 Park.

I made ADR for this time just in case of any delays.

If I get threw check in quickly, I am using the advance check in, I am going to the Magic kingdom for a short time!!

I agree with PP - your young one may not be tucked in by 8pn, but you'll be on your way back to the hotel by 8pm. If you are all checked in to the hotel and can head to the restaurant early, they may be able to seat you early - so you could finish up earlier than predicted.

Well, it seems like 6 would be do-able. We won't have a car, and will be using ME. I hadn't thought of grabbing a cab after dinner. That's a good idea, and a good reason to choose dinner at a resort. Maybe that could be our Kona night. I do want to go somewhere kind of relaxed after our day of travel.

I'm hoping DD will sleep through our flight and be ready to go somewhere when we arrive. Alternatively, she could be awake the whole time, then need to nap after we get checked in. Well, I'll make a res, and I can always cancel I suppose.

I would think you would have enough time, plus you don't want to be out too late after a day of travel.
