Help with the best route driving from WDW to Sanford

We have to take one of my ds's friends to Sanford to fly home during our stay at WDW. We will be doing this on June 9th (a Thursday) and I believe the flight is at 12:20.
I have looked on Mapquest and there are directions taking 417 or I4. There doesnt look like too much difference in time, but one route requires tolls.
With the time of day of the flight, can someone recommend which would be the better route to take?
Also, how long should it take us to drive to Sanford from POP?

Using TOLL 417 is a better route and less prone to delays but unless you have a SUNPASS/E-PASS transponder, you're going to have to stop for tolls and there are 5 of them on that route! At the time of the day you're going, I-4 should be wide open and it's free. So that's the route I would take. And I would stay on it all the way to the other connection with TOLL 417 up in Sanford, then take 417 southbound to Exit 49 (where there will be a nominal ramp toll) and then into the airport.

Actual travel time should be 45 minutes but I'd allow for an hour just in case. Should you run into congestion as you approach downtown Orlando and want to "bail" on the I-4 plan, get onto TOLL 408 east bound which will allow you to cut over to TOLL 417 northbound.
