Hey everyone!

I'm taking my SO to Disney for a short weekend trip this weekend for his bday. We're staying at Pop Century (to keep it within budget and we are not in our room but to sleep anyway!). This weekend is the first weekend of Star Wars Weekends too, and he's a HUGE Star Wars nerd (as am I!) so this is going to be HUGE!

Here's the deal: I need some help on how to keep the surprise until we get there. We are driving (I only live 6 hours away), so short of blindfolding him, what do you suggest? He's not driven there before with me, so he may not figure it out but I think once we pass Jax on 95, he may figure it out!

Help! :)

What an awesome surprise - Unfortunately, I don't know how you'd ever keep it a surprise since you're driving. At some point he's definitely going to figure it out before you get there because there are signs for Disney all over the place.

Could you stop someplace for food, outside of the perimeter of the Disney signs, and give him a package telling him about the surprise? At least this way you'd be close, but maybe he won't know exactly what it is - since there's so much you can do in the Orlando area that would be fun.

Maybe go to a Denny's or wherever the make Mickey pancakes and order that.

Maybe give him a bday card with the park passes or itinerary inside.

Just a thought.

If you haven't told him you are going away for the weekend , pack his bag and put it in the trunk. Tell him ur going on a day trip and go to Downtown Disney. Once you get there you can surprise him with the weekend. I live in NJ and my husband and I have both surprised each other w/ vacations. My Valentine engagement trip was a Christmas gift and I surprised him with a Bday trip. He had no idea till the morning of! On the way to the airport!
The suprise is great no matter when he figures it out so if you feel like you want to tell him before he figures take him for breakfast b4 your long drive.
