So, I have quite the extensive packing list for Disney. I started with the "Ultimate Packing List" years ago and have since refined it to meet our needs.

However, this is our first trip when it is going to be hot. (June 15th-21st) We've always gone in the fall or January in the past, so I need to know...

What are you must-haves for going when it is hot?

Edited:

Here's what I've gathered so far from all the posts:

Dri-fit clothes (no cotton anything)
Teva flip flops
Frogg Toggs (and ziploc baggie to keep them in)
pony tail bands
Brita water bottle w/carabiner or frozen water bottles in portable cooler bag
anti-chafing stick
misting fan (available in the fan section at Wal-Mart)
Keens or similar shoe (already have some Dr. Scholl's like this - at half the cost!)
extra changes of clothes
washcloth to freshen up
baby powder
baby wipes
sunscreen
hat
beach towels for pool
extra pair of walking shoes in case one pair get wet
extra sunglasses
aloe vera
extra undergarments

Light, breathable clothes and a beach towel. I hate those little towels they give you at the pool. Sunscreen and what the pp said.

Your shoes will get wet from rain, sweat and or water rides, so have an extra pair of comfy walking shoes. Are you doing laundry? If not, extra undergarments. Undies and bras were always icky with sweat and we would take an afternoon break to swim, nap and put on clean clothes. We also take disposable ponchos for the frequent rains.

We used a Frog Tog cooling towel last year in June and we will be using it this year too - we will be there the same time as you! Buy one and cut it in 1/2 length wise so you have 2!

I just thought of another - baby wipes. They are cool for a quick neck wipe. And they're great to clean off tables and sticky hands.

Excellent ideas!

I love the extra underwear one - I just remembered last time we went having to wash those, even though we had packed enough "outfit bags" for the trip.

I've got some frog togs, so I'll take those.

I also just went to CVS and stocked up on sunscreen. I found out you can use your medical flex card to buy sunscreen. Bonus!

We've been going the last several summers in June/July.

On the very hottest of days, I will pack a washcloth in my backpack to use to freshen up. It can also be used on the rainy days to quickly dry off either my legs which still get wet from under the poncho or a seat that hasn't been protected from the rain.

Baby powder. DH will use for chaffing and again, on the hottest of days, just a little dab on my skin does wonders to refresh.

Bottled water/portable cooler bag. We go through a case, drinking early in the day while the bottles are still cold enough and before they sweat in the backpack. I place in a large ziplock before putting in backpack. We'll also take in a small cooler I take down to the pool. We enjoy our fun drinks from the pool bar but need to stay hydrated.

A pool bag. We spend a lot of time at the pool in summer and I prefer not to take my backpack to the pool.

Plenty of sunscreen and Aloe vera...just in case the sunscreen doesn't do its job and there are some burnt areas that need some tlc.

Second the extra pair of gym shoes. Stuff wet ones with newspaper to speed up the overnight drying process.

A baseball hat. I don't normally wear a hat in the parks, just wear sunglasses, but when it rains, I like to throw one on with the poncho to keep the rain off of my face.

Extra pair of sunglasses if you have them. We drive so I usually just leave them in the car but I hate buying sunglasses (I think I always look like a bug) so would hate to have to buy a pair there from their limited selection.

I tried the Frog Toggs last summer and they don't really cool you down. They got warm very quickly in August and no one wanted to hold them. My best strategy is to always have water- frozen bottle preferable. If my bottle melts, I get a cup of ice from QS. I don't like wearing hats but light clothing helps too. Also tie your hair back - my first visit to MK included buying a large clip in Adventureland cause it was too hot for long hair!

We always went in the winter, too, until last year. Definitely take Frog Togs. The other thing I noticed was we changed our clothes a lot more often. Maybe that is because we went back to the room in the afternoons and went out again later. But we never wanted to go back out in the same clothes from earlier in the day. So I would recommend bringing more outfits than you would during the winter.

This is the first time I've ever heard of Frog Toggs. I think I might go ahead and order some myself to try them out. I see them on Amazon. Are there any stores locally that would carry them?:beach:

We used frog togs last summer in June. Bought them at Walmart. They work well as long as you keep refreshing them with COLD water. And make sure they aren't on during pictures lol! My 5 year old likes to have one against the back of her neck so she wears it like a loose scarf.

I thought they worked well, but you do have to keep them wet. And good tip on the pictures! :)

Buy a personal misting fan. They sell battery operated ones at Walmart on little carabiner clips for about $5.

Our Lowes store had them in the garden section last year. We like the Frog Togg Chilly Pad a lot!

We like to have an anti chafing stick. Gold Bond makes one that I've been able to find at Walgreens. It's great on feet to prevent blisters and on legs where any rubbing occurs.

We prefer to bring a Brita filtered water bottle for refilling with qs ice and water. I attached it to my bag with a carabiner to ensure it's handy but not a nuisance.

So here's what I got from everyone's replies:

Brita water bottle w/carabiner or frozen water bottles in portable cooler bag
anti-chafing stick
Frog Toggs
misting fan (where at Wal-Mart do they keep these?)
Keens or similar shoe (already have some Dr. Scholl's like this - at half the cost!)
extra changes of clothes
hair clips
light clothing (I think I'm going to take my duo-dry work out clothes)
washcloth (I like this idea!)
baby powder
baby wipes
sunscreen
hat
beach towels for pool
extra pair of walking shoes
extra sunglasses
aloe vera
extra undergarments

Did I miss anything?

We used to pack water each day but now we pack Mio flavor drops (or something similar) and get free ice water. Anywhere that sells fountain soda will give you as many cups as you ask for. I am picky about water and this works well for us:)
