Folks,

After agonizing for the last several years over stocking stuffers for my wife -- I have decided to turn to the wealth of information that is found on the Disboards and hope for some suggestions to help fill her stocking for Christmas morning.

We usually fill each other's stockings with toiletries, chocolate bars, etc. -- but I'm in a rut. I realized that I've basically put the same stuff in her stocking for the last several years.
  • Fruit & Nut chocolate bar.
  • "her" colour of lipstick.
  • Body Shop roll-on
  • razor blades
  • shaving cream
  • Lindor chocolate balls
  • makeup sponges

All very romantic, as you can see. She will be getting a very nice silver necklace from a German designer and some DVDs she has asked for -- those will be under the tree.

What else can you recommend? FYI, she doesn't drink coffee, tea, or pop.

You could get her perfume, small bottles of bath stuff, bubble bath, shower gel, lotion, etc. giftcards, gloves, a different kind of chocolate, ferro rocher, godiva, etc. a small candle, cute note cards or a notepad. HOpe these ideas help. ANd if it were me, I'd putthe necklace in her stocking, maybe way in the bottom.

Somethings I like to get in my stocking are: bubble bath, shampoo/conditioner, magazines, socks, undies, spices, tea light candles, ornaments, small frames, kitchen utensils (spatulas, slotted spoons, etc), chapstick, mints...

Hope that helps!

I am trying to think what I have found in my stocking:

a gift card to my favorite makeup store- Sephora.
Starbucks gift card
Some new kitchen gadgets(I LOVE to cook but I guess that wouldn't thrill everyone)
Some new shower gel from Bath and Body works or similar store
Lotion
some gloves
You could always spice it up a bit ;)
puzzle books

Love coupons! I think they are so sweet :) some places sell them and of course you can always make them up yourself. "This coupon entitles the bearer to one free back massage", or free trip to the local ice cream parlor to share a fountain soda with two straws :). You get the idea.

car keys - to a new car (oh sorry, you didn't say how expensive and it would fit nicely in a stocking)

Here are a few ideas:
* Bath & Body items (lotion, spray, etc)
* Shampoo & Conditioner
* Lottery rub off tickets
* Gum
* Jewelry
* Tickets to see a movie or show
* Gift certificate to go out to eat
* Hot chocolate packets
* Gas card - always needed

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::
Love the coupon ideas!! It is simple but so much thought and heart goes into it...especially if you make your own (hint hint)!!

And personally...I LOVE gift cards!!! As many as possible! I told DH that is all I wanted for Christmas this year! Let me shop my little heart out as much as I want WHEN I get that urge to do so as well :) And this helps control my online shopping habit too :rolleyes:

I saw some cute "intimate" stocking sized books and games in Barnes & Noble yesterday. :rolleyes1 They also have Godiva chocolate bars - YUM! Gift cards to Cold Stone Creamery - more yum! A dvd. A cd, either a new one she wants or one made by you with her favorite songs on it. Disney stuff, of course - Disney ornaments, Disney Dollars, stuffed Minnie, or whoever her favorite character is, Disney cd.

One more - a gift certificate to have her car detailed, by you or someone else. Especially if the kids drop papers and lollipops... :rolleyes1

Lottery tickets..
An issue of a magazine that applies to her interests..
Perfume..
A nice pen..
New key chain..
Hugs & Kisses (the candy kind put out by Hershey)..
A poem - short but sweet.. Do your own version of "Roses are red.."
Gloves..

I don't have any more unique ideas, but just wanted to say your wife is very lucky, not only for the wonderful presents you have bought her, but for the time and consideration that you are putting into this. That alone will mean more to her than anything you put into her stocking. :love:

We always open gifts under the tree on Christmas Eve and our most special gifts arrive magically during the night for us to find them on Christmas morning. I agree with the other poster about putting the necklace in the stocking. Since your DW is used to finding your usual toiletries & chocolate in her stocking - she would be really surprised to find a necklace in the toe of her stocking!

If you have already wrapped the necklace and she has seen the gift under the tree, then you may have to go purchase something else;) maybe some earrings or a ring?? Put something sparkly and special in her stocking at the very bottom. Other stuff you may consider is hair accessories - pony tail holders, jeweled hair barretts, etc., mints (Victoria's Secret brick & mortar stores have little containers of mints in either **chocolate mint** ((personal favorite;o)), vanilla mint, and peppermint with a big shiny crystal thing on top - $8 each - but, much more special than a box from a grocery store;o), single pair of fancy panties (might as well pick these up at Victoria's Secret, too).

I agree with gloves -- I often get new stretchy gloves in my stocking.

Also:

ballet-style slippers
tickets to a show
accessories for any electronice devices (cell phone, Ipod accessories -- I often get headsets for the portable phone at home so I can chat and do household stuff at the same time)
notepad
small day planner
music c.d.

Some things we've "found" in stockings:
lottery tickets
chapstick/lip balm
nail files/clippers
gum/mints
Disney Dollars
gloves
ornaments
air freshners (car--Yankee Candle)
Votives (Yankee Candle)
Purse sized purfume
Lighters
Godiva
Cute Stationary/note cards/refridgerator list
CD's/DVD's
Mini flashlights
Phone cards
Gift cards
lotions/creams

I could keep going. Can ya tell we love stockings? It's my favorite part of Christmas.

**DH did, once, put a diamond necklace in my stocking. I was shocked, as it's usually little goodies. I think that is a great way to surprise your DW!

Cozy socks made by Karen Neuberger. I absolutely love them! I found them at Nordstrom but they are also on Nordstrom.com. I am putting them in my Mom's stocking this year! The best!

How about a new chick flick, if she likes DVD's.

Godiva chocolate bar

My husband always puts vouchers for our local car wash in my stocking and I love to get those....they are 8 for $20.00 right now which is a great price on a $5 wash. I hope he has seen the sign in town!

A gift certificate for a massage, manicure, or pedicure
A magazine subscription
Book store giftcard
Fuzzy socks
Her favorite candy!
Panties
Lip balm
Hand cream

Thanks for all the great ideas. I like the magazines -- DW has a huge stocking and even with lots of little things in there, it always looks rather empty. Magazines would help to fill it out nicely.
