Help with reservation

I posted under another thread I had posted, sorry Im not sure if it belongs here..

So I called WDW today (after waiting just under an hour) I needed to change my dates by adding a day before and after my original booking (which I booked bounceback last year), I also wanted to get pricing comparisons for my AoA vs the cabins and SSR. She put me on hold three times and had to get services to finally change my dates, saying she kept getting an error message. To this point I thought ok, could be computer issues. Then she recalled that I had asked about comparing prices and said "the cabins would be about the same as the family suite" I was very surprised at her answer, as I had already come up with an "idea" of how much the difference was, but wanted to know exactly. I also mentioned that actually at AoA I would have to pay to upgrade to ddp (which we wanted), yet at the cabins it would be included. I was put on hold again. Guest services thankfully came back and told me the prices..AoA was $57xx..cabins were $53xx and SSR was 88xx. I said thank you, and Ill stick with my AoA and speak to the family and would call back if wanted to change. Guest services said they would put me back to the original agent to finish the call. As she transferred me I realized I hadnt asked if those prices were including the qsdp or ddp, so I asked the agent. She said the quotes were for the qsdp. She proceeded to tell me if I switched to cabins or SSR I would lose my free dining and have to pay for the complete ddp, even after I said I was sure I would just have to pay the difference between qsdp and ddp. I asked to speak the lady at guest services who had been super helpful and she told me that she already hung up with her. I was so frustrated that I said I would just call back later. I was actually going to do the "survey" after the call, but my phone died. Im trying to get very good comparison of AoA and cabins price wise, how can I calculate the amount to add to my AoA price paying the difference between the "free qsdp" and regular ddp, as I know my final price at cabins will be $53xx?

I hope this makes sense, I was so disappointed with the call, I mean to say "the prices will be about the same" when asked for a quote. And then to be wrong (I believe) about not being able to pay to upgrade the ddp while keeping the "free dining" for the qsdp. It was not the usual helpful cast member Im used to.

My confirmation email just came through, and it has the total as $5985 and I was told $57xx, would that not incluse the $200 I made last year?

Also, should it mention the free dining/code anywhere, as it does not. Now Im not even sure if there is any free dining on there.

We are 6 Disney adults, for 8 nights, my caculation was $1015 to upgrade from qsdp to ddp, can someone confirm if Im on track with that number?

This is not necessarily true. When you book on a BB and want to change dates or resorts, ability to change with the promo will be dependent on if any availability from the promotion remains at the resorts for those dates. You aren't guaranteed to be able to change to another resort or different dates with the original BB deal.

You're assuming that you'd get the BB free dining at SSR or at the cabins, and you might not if you switch.

I am aware of that, but she said it as in your free dining is invalid if you switch, though maybe she just didnt mention the fact that there was a lack of availabilty with promo, but somehow the way the conversation went I doubt it. I will be sure to ask specifically when I call back. Thx

You asked for input but you negate it and dismiss it saying "I doubt it" and state you will ask specifically when you call back. Why did you even ask here then? :confused3
Anyway, I agree with @_auroraborealis_ for what it's worth.
 

"Your Free Dining is invalid if you switch" = not available for those resorts/dates.

Removed from service. Unavailable. As with a promotion, not valid.
