Hey there! It's pretty early to be planning, but my husband has to put his vacation bids in at work for the entire year come January. We are trying to decide dates for our annual Disney vacation.... in the past we've gone in January right after the New Year, Spring Break, and also during October for MNSSHP. For 2016, we are considering later in the year. The two weeks we are looking at are the week after Thanksgiving, likely arriving the 26th or 27th and the stay until Dec 2nd or 3rd. Or, we'd arrive Dec 2nd or 3rd and stay that full week. Is either week better than the other? Considering a Christmas Party too of course...when do those usually start?

Thanks!

The Christmas parties start in early November.

I think both of the weeks you are considering are relatively good choices. We were at Disney Dec 2-6 this year and found the crowds do be very manageable. We had no problem doing everything we wanted to do.

We were there the week before Thanksgiving week several years ago and the crowds were very low. I think that's too early to enjoy Christmas decorations or parties, though.

It's Christmas at Disney about a week after Halloween. All the decorations will be up and there will definitely be parties to attend by then.

Well, I don't know if all Christmas decorations will be up the week before Thanksgiving (in particular I'm thinking about the resort decorations). The MVMCP will have definitely started by then, however Epcot doesn't start their activities until the day after Thanksgiving.

I would do the week after Thanksgiving. We did that a few years ago and loved it. Decorations are up, crowds are low, weather is perfect.

We were there the 2-9 earlier this month and thought it was an awesome time to go!

Thanks for your input everyone!

Additional question. It looks like maybe Pop Warner is there the 1st week of December? Is there somewhere I can find the schedule of events hosted at Disney?

Thanks again!

I think pop warner is always the first week of Dec, but I'm not 100% sure. When we went a couple of years ago, they were arriving as we were leaving on Dec 1st.

Sorry, but when I saw the thread title, this is all I could imagine...

When I looked at the ESPN WWS schedule, it started the first full week of December this year....
