We're going on a 7 night from NYC. Is there something we can purchase that would be similar to memory maker on the parks, where we could have access to all of our photos taken during our cruise?

Hi - the Photo Shop offers several packages - everything from 1 print to a CD of all the photos (of you/your family) taken on your cruise. We usually get the 20 photo CD and I have them printed at home (they'll include a copyright release so you can print them anywhere). I'd suggest checking your "folder" every couple of days to make sure all your photos are being added. Last cruise none of ours were there except for one taken with Minnie before we boarded. They were able to track them down and get them in our folder before the last night of the cruise. You can order up until the last night of the cruise and pick up your photos/CD the morning you disembark. Here's the link for more info - https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/guest-services/photography-service/. Oh...and you do not have to pre-order any packgage.

Thanks for the help. If we wanted to purchase a package that we could have all of the photos taken, do you know how much that would cost, and also if there's any discount for purchasing it prior to our cruise?

I have never seen any discounts on the packages which is why I always get it on board. That's not to say that there aren't any. The price for 20 photos is $250 and for all the photos is $350 for a 7 night cruise,

:eek:. Wow, that's a little more than I thought. I guess when comparing getting 20 photos vs all, for $100 more I'd probably go with all. Something to think about I guess.

I agree, it's expensive! For us it's mostly photos of my daughter and the characters. If I was thinking about spending $350 you can be sure I'd be taking photos at every opportunity!! :)

I think you can get 10% off certain packages (maybe more) if you order them before the cruise. Definitely the all photos package. I believe there is a window of time that you have to order before the trip.

Also, if you have a Disney visa, they have discounts on certain packages.

I did the entire photo package on my 5 night last year. As of last October, the Magic still had the digital pics on CD (other ships have USB sticks). Since I have no computer with a CD drive, it was useless to me so I got the physical photos package and scanned them all in myself. I probably had about 75 for 5 days (but probably less than 20 MUST HAVES). I'll go with the 20 photo package next time, probably.

PHOTOS (Sep 2014)
Individual prices are:
8X10 print - $20.95
6X8 print - $14.95
Digital - $20.95

The packages are 6 ($99.95), 10 ($149.95), 15 ($199.95), and 20 ($249.95) photos. Different length cruises have different options. You can also purchase an all prints package (all your photos printed) for the same cost as the length of cruise full digital package.

The length of cruise digital package cost varies with length of cruise. The prices I've seen are (for pre-cruise purchase/onboard cost):
7 night $295.95/$100.00 to add prints/$349.95, $100.00 to add prints;
5 night $249.95/$50.00 to add prints;
4 night $194.95/$75.00 to add prints/$229.95, $75.00 to add prints;
2 night $199.95/$50.00 to add prints

Special digital package prices (or just the all prints package)
14 night $339.95/$100.00 to add prints;
12 night $399.95/$100.00 to add prints

The 6, 10, 15, & 20 photo packages can be either prints or the full digital package with 6, 10, 15, or 20 photos unlocked for your access once home.

Photobook $149.95

What does "$100.00 to add prints" mean? If you wait to purchase this package on board it is $100 more?

The packages are digital (on USB). You can get the printed photos also, by paying an additional cost.

One note, the printed photos that you can add are the ones that Shutters choses to put hard copies of in your onboard folder. Not hard copy prints of all photos.

If you preorder and change your mind or decide you don't want pics I read you can receive a refund.

Yes, if you purchase a package, and then decide that it's not worthwhile for you, you can cancel the package. You must do so by the last full day of the cruise.

Do you get a full refund? In other words, if I purchase the 7 night for $350 and then decide on the last day of the cruise we don't feel it's worth having, would we get the full $350 back?

Yes. The charge on your onboard account will be reversed.

If you prepay and get the discounted price, you will get the refund back to your original form of payment. I would really encourage prepurchasing the all digital package and printing the pictures you want once you are home.
If you purchase onboard and do not get the discounted rate, they will credit your onboard account. I would do this at least a couple of nights before the end of your cruise because the lines to order prints, make photobooks etc...are extremely long the last couple of nights. They are not open 24/7 either so when they are available to help the lines get busy.

I'm hearing they no longer print any photos - that they are strictly digital now. Anyone else hear this or see it first-hand on a cruise recently? For our upcoming cruise, they are not offering to add the prints in any package - only digital options (10 digital photos, 20 digital photos, or all digital photos).

They printed on the Magic last week. We still had the album books to go through.
