We will be staying at OKW for the time in a 1 bedroom villa in October and I need some advice on room requests or what location would work best for our needs. I read somewhere that only Buildings 30+ have access to the bathroom through the laundry room and since the kids will be staying on the pullouts in the living room, that would be beneficial for us. We have the standard booked not the "Hospitality House" category so I think that means we would be in a higher # Building but am a little confused on how it all works still so I figured this was the best place to ask!

We will not have park tickets this trip and only plan on attending a Halloween party so buses will only be an issue for that one night. We also would like to take the water taxi to Disney Springs for dinner.

Any advice on what area of the resort would be best for our needs or favorite room requests??

Thanks SO much in advance!!

You can hop any bus near your villa and get to the Hospitality House to take the boat to Disney Springs or to hop a bus to the Halloween Party. Bus route for the theme parks is Peninsular Road, South Point, Turtle Pond, Millers Road and Hospitality House. The Internal or Disney Springs bus goes Hospitality House, Millers Road, Peninsular Road, South Point, Turtle Pond, Hospitality House. So if you need the Internal bus make sure it isn't leaving the resort and it head around the resort first. You'll want Turtle Pond or South Point to get the door through the laundry room into the shower/toilet/sink room. The sink/tub room opens to the master bedroom.

Thanks! Is it possible to walk around the resort or from the Turtle Pond area to the water taxi or is it similar to the campground and you have to rely on buses?

It is very easy to walk around OKW with all the sidewalks. Just stay on the sidewalk since sometimes they cross to the other side of the road.

'Hospitality House' Buildings are #11-14 and 23-26. There are other buildings just as close but not included in that booking category. Nothing is too far from Hospitality House and , as noted by Deb & Bill, all buses will take you to that area.

There is also a nice walkway from OKW to Disney Springs which begins back by building #55.

We are also staying at OKW for the first time and have booked a 2 BR. We would like to be close to a pool and transportation as we will have a 3 and 5 year old with us. I have heard buildings 53, 54, and 55 are a good choice. I would love some input. If we would be in this area, how long would it take to walk to Disney Springs? Also, do all of the 2 BR rooms have a nice sized porch if you are located on the 2nd or 3rd floor? Any suggestions would be welcome! Thanks!!

The larger villas (One, two , three bedrooms) all have the larger porch with a round table and four chairs.
The walk to Disney Springs is about one mile long. Just stay off the golf course.
There should be a map at the start of thus thread to look for bldg numbers.
