We are about to book our second trip home but this time we will be staying at Kidani instead of Jambo so I need some help with my room requests.

We want to book a standard 2 bed but would prefer pool view to car park. We want to be near to the pool, ammenities and bus stops (doesn't everyone :rotfl:) We would prefer a dedicated 2 bed as we have kids sleeping in the studio part and we would be nervous if they had corridor access finally we would prefer not to be on the ground or first floor.

So tell me what do I need to be saying to MS when I book my holiday :goodvibes

If anyone could illustrate this on a map too that would be so great :hug:I don't want much do I :wizard:

Thanks in advance for your help :thumbsup2

I think if you get a pool view, you will also get a parking lot view. It seems hard to view the pool without also viewing the parking lot. Kind of like BCV.

I think your priority should be dedicated two bedroom close to the pool.

Thanks for your reply :)

So all standard views are basically car park views? Do none of the rooms face the pool? I thought that at Kidani there was a choice of Savannah or Standard which included pool or car park :confused3

So if I am requesting dedicated with pool view what is this area of Kidani called. Thanks :goodvibes

The choices at Kidani are Savanna or Standard. If you ask for a pool view, you will be looking past a SMALL car park. Most of the parking is under the building. So you'd be looking past one or two rows of cars (or empty car park...most people park in the covered area).

I would prioritize what you request. Dedicated 2 BR first, and then "near the pool" and then "not 2nd floor". The car park is 1st (ground to you) floor, the lobby is 2nd floor (1st floor to you). There are 3 floors of rooms above that.

Thanks for all your help :goodvibes

So my next question :lmao:

Is the pool close to the restaurants, shops etc and the bus stop?

How far is the walk round to Jambo house?

Thanks again for all your help

There's no quick service food choices at Kidani (which is about the only thing that disappointed us -- otherwise, we loved it and plan to stay there for a non-park vacation and enjoy the resort). As you walk into the lobby, the pool is to the left and in back of you. It's set up differently from Jambo House...... rooms facing the pool will be looking at a small parking lot and paved road. If you request a room near the pool, it will probably be a room on the corridor to the left of the lobby (or one of the first rooms on the corridor to the right). We took the elevator downstairs and accessed the pool -- a few minutes' walk.

The restaurant is just downstairs from the main lobby. The small store, with groceries and refillable drinks, is in the lobby. The bus stop is to the right of the main lobby, so any room near the lobby will be very close to most things you're asking about. To get to Jambo House and the quick service food and other restaurants and that pool, just get on the first bus that comes. Every bus stops at Kidani first, with the exception of the DTD bus. Getting back to Kidani can take much longer, because you have to wait for the DTD bus or walk. I believe it took us ~ 10-12 minutes to walk to the lobby, and once you're near Kidani you can go inside, if it's a hot day.

PS --- we thought the pool area looked fantastic for kids. Hope you have a great trip!

Forgot to add that you could get some food at the pool bar, and when we were there in May, you could also order from the restaurant menu and have it delivered to the pool. So, no need to go to Jambo House for quick service during the day.
