My family will be departing MCO at 8pm on 11/23...the day before Thanksgiving....obviously a VERY busy day at the airport. We are on Southwest, so no bag check at the resort. I'm a little concerned that we would not arrive at the airport early enough on such an exceptionally busy day/evening.

Do you think a towncar is probably worth the expense in this case, or should I trust "THE MOUSE"???

You pose a very interesting question, and I'm eager to read the answer from the experts.

If you do decide on using DME, you might be well-served to make the request for an earlier pick-up time (at the DME counter) for your return trip when you first arrive at MCO. Then again, that may be unacceptable to you. In your case, if you don't want to leave earlier and you don't want to worry about being late if you don't leave earlier, you may be better served by a private ride by a town car service. If you, like me, are willing to pay for peace of mind, then the town car seems to be the way to go. But like I said, I'd love to know what the experts have to say. I've never flown around Thanksgiving.

Good luck with your travels!

You can modify your return ME reservations, getting a new bus show up time after you get to the resort also. Do it at least a day in advance of resort check out and going home.

You can obtain earlier pickups (3-1/2 hours, 4 hours before flight time especially for charter or international flights. But never request a later pickup.
