help with maze rooms

hi all
i seem to have trouble moving around the maze game type rooms. I will click on the chair for example but my character won't move. Is there a technique? Like click on cenre of chair? or something like that? please help if can.
my bum is getting sore from being booted out of rooms for not getting anywhere!!!(LOL)

For chairs, I find it easiest to double click on the back of the chair. But, keep double clicking all over the chair if you can't get in. Sometimes it seems random. Same with trying to get to a spot on the floor - if it is blocked with people in front of the spot, keep trying to click because as people in the room talk, the people change position slightly, sometimes making enough room to get that click in and move up the line.

I've found clicking on the back of the chair to be easiest. But sometimes on the theater chairs, you need to click on the armrest.
