I am trying to plan out my week since I will be able to make my ADR's in a month but am having a hard time figuring out the best plan for that week. I know it will be super crowded that week. Touringplans.com and TourGuide Mike have conflicting reports of what parks are the best to visit on what days..... Anyone know the best plan for that week???? I would appreciate any help you can give me.

I was there this past year and can provide some insight. Generally on the 3rd the MK is most crowded because they have their 4th of July shows on both the 3rd and the 4th, so while the other parks are doing their regular shows, on the third the MK does the BIG ONE. On Main St. in the MK on the third, about an hour before the show there will be little to NO movement on Main St. If you want to leave after the fireworks, be at the end of Main St. though you need to be close to the castle to see the full perimeter fireworks.

On the 4th, Epcot is very busy, but note that Epcot handles crowds MUCH better than the other parks do. So while Epcot may be loaded with people it wont seem as bad.

I would do the fireworks for MK on July 3 and see the Epcot show on July 4 since the MK show on the 3rd is the same as the fourth. Not to mention that the Epcot show is 10X better than Mk's show.

We went to WDW July 4th -9th of this year. We got in about midday on the 4th and they told us MK and the Studios were full so we decided to go over to EPCOT and while it was crowded you could move around and we did Mission Space and a few other rides without too much wait. We didn't really plan anything on the 4th so it worked out fine for us. I thought crowds would lighten up as the week went on but that didn't seem to be the case. I agree with those who say avoid early entry parks particularly during busy seasons. We have gone during spring break a couple of times so we used to larger crowds and just go with the flow.

Some advice I would give is to make your priority seatings as soon as possible don't wait to the last minute expecting to find a place to eat. I saw more people being turned away at restaurants because they were full. Also if you are wanting to see alot of attractions get there early and use fastpass. The fastpass seem to run out quicker this year. Soarin and Test Track we gone by noon.

I don't think we will plan to come back at this time again. We don't mind the summer heat but the crowds during the holiday week were a little more than we want. We had a great time though.
