We will be visiting WDW from 5/24-5/28. I'm trying to make a somewhat loose and flexible touring plan. I'd really appreciate it if some of you experts would critique my plans.

5/24 EFW/am, midday break, MGM/pm
5/25 AK/am, dinner break, MK/pm
5/26 off day, visiting friends
5/27 MK/am, dinner break, EWS/pm
5/28 go back and see anything the kids want to see again

This is our first and only trip to the world. My kids are 8 and almost 11 and we don't plan to do any of the stuff aimed at younger kids. Neither of them like the "kiddy" rides and none of us are into shows or parades. We might try to see the Lion King show at AK because one of my DD's teacher's father works there and we could get VIP seats. We know we probably won't see/do everything, but that's ok because we've made a list of our must sees/dos.

Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I think we may see each other on this trip! We have a very similar itinterary planned! I think what you have will accomodate seeing what you want to see. It all depends on what you will and won't want to ride/see. Since it is your first time, you may want to change your plans as you go to make sure you get to do everything you want enough...but from what I see, you seem to be hitting the major parks pretty well. You may find that there aren't as many things at MK that you want to do and instead may want to hit MGM or Epcot one more time instead, but I'd say the plan looks great!

Looks okay. Obviously, you won't see everything, but make sure you see Fantasmic & Illuminations.

Also, don't count the shows out - nor the "kiddie" rides. Some of those "kiddie" rides, like Peter Pan, are my DD's favorites & they are 14, 11 & 11 (Peter Pan is one of mine too! :D )

Disney has some of the best live shows:

AK - Festival of the Lion King
Flights of Wonder

MGM - Beauty & the Beast (my personal favorite)
Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular

MK - There are some live shows at the castle that your kids may enjoy.

Make sure you hit all the 3D shows in all the parks:

MK - Mickey's Philharmagic

AK - Tough to be a Bug

MGM - Muppet Vision 3D

EPCOT - Honey, I Shrunk the Audience

Have a great time while you're there! :)
