So I have booked our ADR's for our mini December trip so its time to work on Next Novembers trip. I need to know everything there is to know about eating Gluten Free in the world :goodvibes A member of our GG is GF and I dont want her to be eating salads everyday lol so if anyone had any info on TS and CS ressies plus snack choices and desserts-Id love to hear them!!!!

The other party going with us has 2 girls and we have 3 so I want love to incorporate Character meals and themed meals

We've had wonderful experiences with gluten free eating with DD. I make sure to note the allergy on TS reservations. When we check in, our printout is marked with a stamp to let the server know there is an allergy. The chef then comes out and either takes DD to the buffet to show her what she can eat, or will let her know what she can have on the menu. Oftentimes, the chef will ask if there is something in particular on the menu she would like and if possible, they will prepare it for her gluten free. Sometimes, though they aren't able to do that (couldn't do gluten free Tonga Toast:sad1:) They have been so great for desserts and will prepare them specially for her. For CS meals, we ask what on the menu is gluten free. She has been able to get rice crust pizzas and chicken. For us, Disney has been great...DD feels special when we are eating there and looks forward to her meals. Deb Willis has a section on her website for eating with allergies and there is a number to call if you would like to speak to someone there. We've never had to do that as we've never really encountered a problem for our daughter. We have eaten at LeCellier, Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia, O'Hana, Kona Cafe, 50s Prime Time Cafe, Boma, Crystal Palace, Tony's, GF Cafe, Brown Derby, 1900 Park Fare, Food Courts, and too many CS places to name and are very happy with how they handled DDs allergy:thumbsup2

My wife and daughter have to do gluten free the turf club at SSR is very good they have gluten free pasta gluten free bread all the places we eat at do a good job even the counter service and the food is good at the buffets they walk my wife around and show her what she can have, have a nice trip.

We took my DS 8 for the first time to WDW since he has been Gluten and Food Dye free. Disney is amazing.

He could order things like chicken nuggets, fries, pizza and feel like a normal kid.

His favorite meals were at Crystal Palace (dinner) and Cape May Cafe' (dinner). There were only about 4-5 things on the buffet that he could not eat at CMC. The Chef at Crystal Palace was amazing. He came out 2-3 times to check on what my son would like more of and could he create something more for him.

Chef Mickey (dinner) was also enjoyable for him. He could have chicken and rice soup because it was made without flour as a thickener. He could have salad, vegetables, the meats and ice cream for dessert.

There are lots of great places that she will be able to have many choices. :)

We, too, are traveling to WDW as a GF family next month (kids were dx'd with Celiac after the last visit) and from what I've heard, this is the best place in the universe to be if you have a food allergy.

I have an anaphylactic allergy to shellfish, strawberries and iodine. I know that the last time I was there, the chefs always came out to talk with me and were always very careful to prepare my food away from any possible allergens. Note it on the reservation (like others have said) and also mention it when you get to the stand when you show up for your meal.

I've also notice a LOT more baked chicken, steak, salads, etc. on the kids' menus as I've booked ressies. :lovestruc

It will be fun to come back here afterward and share experiences. :)

Your GF member is going to love Disney dining! The first time I ate at Disney as a celiac, I cried with joy. I ate Mickey waffles until they came out of my ears. Just note the allergy on the ADR and your friend will be well taken care of.

I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.

This is a very common topic of discussion in the disABILITIES Forum.

Our experience was excellent! I just wanted to add to make sure and alert someone at the restaurant about the allergy, they will make sure the French fries are prepared in a separate fryer.
