Help with getting to/from Hoop Dee Doo

Hi. I am picking up a rental van at 9AM from the Disney Car Care Center on Monday 8/25, the day of our Hoop Dee Doo ADR. We are staying at POR. I am trying to decide how to proceed after picking up my rental van. After picking up the van, I will be meeting up with the rest of my family at MK. Later, we are headed to the 6:15 HDDR show from MK. Here are what I think my options are:
1. Drive from Car Care Center and park at TTC. Go into MK, meet up w/ family, and later take boat to FW for HDDR. After show, take Disney transportation back to TTC and take rental van back to POR.
2. Drive from Car Care Center and park at Fort Wilderness. Take Disney transportation from FW to MK, meet up w/ family and later take boat back to FW for HDDR. After show, go to FW parking and pick up van rental and drive back to POR.
3. Drive from Car Care Center back to POR. Take Disney transportation to MK, meet up w/ family and later take boat to FW for HDDR. After show, go back to POR by means of some sort of Disney Transportation, but which ones?
4. Another option I am not considering??

Can anyone provide any help with this task considering the details that I provided?

I'd go with Option 1 because it involves the least amount of running around.

I'm not sure if this helps but in the past, there have been buses outside of HDDR to take guests back to their resort. DD and I took the bus from Pioneer Hall back to POFQ last year.

I would go with option 1 as well as it seems like it would give you the most time with your family at MK.

Also, I believe parking at Fort Wilderness is at the Outpost. You would then take a bus from the Outpost to Pioneer Hall. Plan around 30 minutes each way for the bus ride.

Which show did you see? 4PM? 6:15PM? or 8:30PM?

And do they run those buses back to your resort after all three shows? Or only after certain shows?

I think the buses run from pioneer hall to resorts after the last two shows. We usually see the 2nd show.

No specific recommendation but a couple of considerations.

Unlimited beer and wine are included with hddr. Disney transport will allow everyone in your party to enjoy that if so inclined.

We went to the chip & Dale campfire after the early show and then took the buses directly from the late show. It was a long trip back to the resort. Took a long time to load the bus - seemed like we waited forever for no obvious reason. Then lots of stops on the way back to our resort.

if you take van to FW, you will have tom bus from parking lot to boat to MK and also after HDDR to get back to Van. no car or van parking at HDDR even for handicapped. unless you plan on not taking part in the free drinks, I would take van back to resort and bus back to MK to join rest of party. I would take boat back to MK and get bus there after show of park open or has a hard ticket party. you do not have to go into MK to ride bus from there

I'd take the van back to POR, bus to MK, boat to FW then reverse it on the way back, boat to MK and bus to POR. This allows everyone to enjoy the yummy sangria without worry.

If there will be a non-drinking driver available, park at TTC, monorail/boat to MK, boat to FW & reverse THAT. This will take less time.

There are Disney buses that will get you back to the resorts, but they pretty much run when MK is closed, or close to closing. And, it takes a long time using the buses. They make a ton of stops.
If it were me, I would head to the TTC, park and head to MK. Take the boat to FtW....drops you right at the bottom of the path to Pioneer Hall....a out a 2 min walk. After, head back to either MK or the CR. then over to the TTC.
If MK won't be open when you're done, or if you want to drink without worrying, I would head back to POR, drop off the van, and take the bus to MK, and meet up with everyone. Then, after the show, you can take the bus back to POR.
