We are from Northern Cal and have decided on a last minute trip to DL. My DH and I will be leaving early Friday morning (3/5), shooting to get into Anaheim by noon. We booked Hojo for about $119/nite through the mousesavers rate for two nights. I have a couple of questions.

What day/time do you recommend doing Ariel's grotto? I have twin 4 year old girls who are huge princess fans, and they would be ecstatic to go to this character meal. My DH isn't into breakfast, so it makes better sense to go to lunch or dinner, however, I'm not sure if we should shoot for Friday dinner, Sat lunch, or Sat dinner.

Should I go ahead and stick with Hojo's even though it's somewhat a bit of a longer walk to the park? I'm contemplating BWPPI or BW anaheim inn since we've had good luck with best westerns in the past, and the overall cost is at least $50 cheaper. But we're driving a mini van and are a little apprehensive about the parking situation at the PPI since I read through some reviews that parking is difficult.

Also, should I stick with using our double stroller (combi twin savvy) for the park or two umbrella strollers?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

We looked at the menu and preferred lunch but I haven't looked in a few years either. I know it was cheaper for lunch which also swayed my husband;)

We always rented a stroller and never stayed at Hojo or the others you mentioned so I can't help there either, sorry. I'm sure someone will be along to give their opinion.

Have a great trip!

I would check if the other hotels have parking fees. That could change your prices. Hojos parking is free and has a huge parking lot.

We stayed at BWPPI several times during peak season and any reports of parking problems there is news to me. They have always been very accomodating.

Bring the double stroller. It will save your back. 2 short umbrella strollers will just be miserable. Also, you probably have some storage under your double stroller and that makes it nice for a sweatshirt or some snacks or a water bottle.

We stay at HoJo and walk from there all the time - but if you can stay somewhere closer for cheaper - do it! We just love the beds at HoJo and that is mostly what keeps us going back there - and the interior corridors, and we can usually get the ent. rate. :upsidedow

I reread the reviews on tripadvisor and it was mostly talking about parking being tight. But the more I think about it, the more I realize it shouldn't be a big deal. That's good to know about PPI being accommodating, though. Thanks!

Thanks. That totally makes sense about the double stroller. We'll bring it.
