Help with disney transport please

We nearly always use the busses when at Disney - I don't really drive and him indoors drives for a living and it's his holiday too so we generally save car for offsite unless we want to be at a park early.

Over many, many bus journey's I can only ever remember twice getting cranky about the journey. One was from Boardwalk to Downtown Disney. We waited forever and ever for a bus...and this was when Pleasure Island was still a proper night time entertainment area too.

The other was last trip when we did MVMCP and heading back to SSR - we didn't have any troubles getting a bus at MK however my god, the route he took...pretty sure he got lost or missed a turn or something because convoluted doesn't begin to cover it. That said I was very tired and patience was thin at that point, most likely if it had been earlier in the evening I'd have shrugged my shoulders and probably only took 10 mins longer...just felt like forever at the time!

I've stayed lots of times at SSR and never really had any complaints of the busses, far from it...but I do always walk to DTD, it's quicker and easier all around and I really think DTD is a little bit of a weak link in the Disney bus system, especially in the evening/night.

Buzz, the easiest option is take the Contempory bus. You can walk to MK from there it's only a couple of minutes max beyond where the normal resort busses stop for MK anyhow and also if you happen to arrive early it means you can kill some time looking at the shops or something while you wait for the 4pm opening.

Failing that, as suggested, hop back to SSR via either boat or walk and pick up the bus to MK but the Contemporary is the most straightforward option in my mind.

Thanks Guys :thumbsup2

Slowly getting to grips with the disney transport and how it works !!
Ill go with the populaur option of bus to the contempory and then waalk thru to MK !!

Thanks for all the answers and LUke you haveto do a trippie !!:)

I agree with either walk back to SSR and get an MK bus, or get a GR/Poly/CR or maybe even WL bus and get the monorail/boat. :)

I love Disney buses, and think they are a great service. Longest we ever waited for an AKL bus was 15 minutes, and that was a rare occasion.

We did get an OKW bus from DHS to get to DTD though (I wanted to get the boat along, and OKW bus came first before POFQ) and that one experience has put us off OKW forever! It took us longer tog et round OKW than it did to get there from DHS!
