I have a 7 night stay booked for April 2011. The first two days, I can get the early booking discount. The rest of the time, I can use AAA. The CM would not let me split the stay into two reservations. What should I do? Do I have to stay at 2 different resorts? Because I will :rotfl:

Correct - you'll need two reservations. If it's for the same property and type of room, chances are you won't have to move, but there's always the possibility you would.

If there's no availability under the offer you are looking for, then maybe yes, you would have to change resorts.

This is easy if it's room only. If you are doing dining, it is a problem, as you'll have to add 1day base tickets to your other reservation. If you don't do dining, you could do room only reservations for both and then add tickets on site.

I asked her if I could split the reservation and do 2 nights with the early booking discount and the rest with AAA. She said no. Is this correct?

It is room only btw.

Wrong. Call back again and speak with someone who knows.

Or book your 2 day under the discount, then call back and adjust your AAA ressie to remove the overlapping dates. I am assuming you booked under the AAA discount but directly with them and not thru a AAA TA. If you did, the AAA TA would have to make the changes.

If it's a package you did with the AAA rate, it's possible there is no more availability for room only. Ie, you will not be able to 'remove' tickets/dining.

Ok, it's all fixed now. I had to call back and cancel one of the 2 new reservations I made online because in my haste, I booked a waterview rather than a std. view.

It's unfortunate that we have to play these pricing games but at least the CMs should give an honest answer.

Thanks for your help suAve!:goodvibes
