We have booked our first in a long time Disney cruise. It's actually our third cruise but we haven't cruised Disney is more than probably 15 years. So everything has completely changed. We are booked in a concierge room. I have seen posts about shore side concierge but I am not sure how I go about contacting them. Also, can I contact them before 120 day mark to ask general questions about arranging things like the tea party. Can anyone point me to a good resource. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I know the ins and outs and dos and don'ts to Disney World but I just am at a loss about this Disney cruise.

You'll want to contact them at the 125-day mark to make your requests. I do it at midnight at 125 days and have yet to miss out on anything when the 120-day mark rolls around.

Do you send them Palo/Remy, Excursion, CC Cabana and onboard activities...or do I need to wait on the onboard activities?

Two years ago I booked a cabana, Palo dinner and brunch,Remy, wine tasting, excursions, princess and frozen gatherings for two rooms (both concierge). They were very friendly and helpful. I received a planning guide in the mail with their number and just called any time I had a question.

At 130 days, Shoreside sends an email with the things you can book with them, which includes everything you mentioned. You can send your request email at midnight on day 125. They are processed in the order received. At 120 days, the requests are treated by the computer at the same time Platinum guests can do them, and you get an email during the morning informing you of what was booked.

We always ask for the days and times of specific activities we are interested in, so we know what to request specifically. For example, we ask if there are multiple start times for port adventures. For our next cruise, we received the different dining rotations so we could request a specific one.

Thanks, great idea about asking for times!

How do you know what to book? So I've read about a tea party, and 2 character meet and greats. Is that all I need to book with concierge? It's just a quick 4 night cruise. I'm not interested in a cabana or any dining/spa away from the kids. I just want to make sure we book everything that is available to book for the kids. Also, will they be able to help me with our dining rotation. I have read that when you do the tea party you aren't hungry at dinner time (we have early dinner). I want to make sure the tea party and our dinner at animators palate aren't on the same day. Any tips anyone has to make our trip great.

You can ask for a list of the three possible rotations and request a specific one. It will look like this :

Here’s a list they send concerning what you can request :

Port Adventures
Adult dining reservations at Palo and Remy
Spa services/treatments
Character Meet and Greet tickets
Character Breakfasts (on select sailings)
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Pirate’s League
Royal Court Royal Tea
Nursery reservations
Dining time requests
Special occasions and celebration planning
Transportation
Assistance with special requests

We also request a private table (it’s automatic for Concierge guests but we still request it just to make sure) and specific servers when on Fantasy and Magic.

You can always contact Shoreside, they are extremely helpful.

Kind of silly question, can the concierge staff book the private banquette tables at The Enchanted Garden? Restaurant? My DD would love that!

Not silly at all. That’s exactly why they charge so much for Concierge. For multiple reasons, mainly the view, the little step and the organization of the table, we don’t like those tables but you can certainly request one. You’ll surely get one.

Whenever we've requested the Teacups in Enchanted Garden Concierge has made sure it happened.

We requested the booth through Shoreside concierge and got it. We ended up dining there 3x and loved the booth.

We were concierge on our 12/4 sailing. We did not request a specific table. We ended up with a teacup booth for our party of 4. We have 2 kids so the table size worked fine.

We've had four fluffy adults in the teacups and fit fine. The tables move, so we just pushed it out a bit.
