Help with computer!

I am so computer challenged. I know this should be something I can figure out on my own but I can't. I don't know what happened but everything on my screen is huge now. I mean everything - the headings, boxes, etc. I know how to adjust the text size but that's not changing everything else. Its driving me crazy! Nothing fits on the screen without scrolling back and forth. Can anyone tell me how to get my screen back to looking normal?

At the top of your screen, go into 'View' then 'Text Size' and change it to whatever size you want.

Edited to add - Just re-read your post, you said you already know how to change text size - oops just goes to show how not awake i am today I'm not brilliant with a computer either, so sorry i can't help

Have you tried changing your screen display setting? Go to the Control Panel, double-click on the Display icon and check your screen resolution. Mine is set to 1024 x 768... some people set it to 680 x 480.

I'm not much of a computer expert either, but on my pc I can right click on the desk top and it will bring open a drop down menu....then i get another menu that says customize desktop....click on that and it opens a box.....in the box there are tabs...choose the "appearance tab" .....then look for scheme and click it....from there you get some options on how you want the computer screens to appear....from color themes to size's....... ...not sure if this will help you..but I know on mine it has one that says "window extra large" and if you click on it and hit "apply" it makes everything really big...... hope it works!

Try holding down shift or control (I forget which and I'm on a laptop now so can't test it) and then move your mouse wheel.

Edited to add: It's the control key. I went for months on my old desktop with HUGE fonts before accidentally discovering the control key/mouse wheel connection.

Thanks for all the great help! I tried EVERYTHING recommended here! It is somewhat better and I'm not sure which tip did the trick since I tried it all but thank you! There are still two problems but its better. The big, giant headers are gone and its back to normal. My screen is still showing too wide and I have to scroll back and forth to see some things and when another screen pops up (such as the print box) its still huge but at least its better and I can live with the way it is now if I have to! Thanks much!
