Just booked our vacation for 11-30-2010 Monday (Yes I am doing the happy dance:cool1:) and now I am trying to decide where to go for our TS meals.
The crew going is Me (34/M), DW (37) and our DD(Will be 4 when we go).
Right now here is what we are thinking: This is a first time trip for all of us. FINAL EDIT
Epcot:
Biergarten(Dinner) My choice
Akershus Royal Banquet (Breakfast)
Les Chefs de France (Dinner) Wife's choice

Magic Kingdom:
Crystal Palace (Breakfast)
Liberty Tree Tavern for MVMCP

AK:
Picnic in the park/ Flame Tree (If available)

HS:
Sci Fi (Dinner)

Floridian-
1900 Park Fare

WE GOT EM ALL!!

First of all, I say Crystal Palace was an excellent choice! :thumbsup2

It's the one restaurant my family keeps going back to over and over... and always for breakfast. That's our favorite place for breakfast! Great service, great selection of food. We'd go even if it wasn't a character buffet, but I hope they don't lose the characters because Eeyore is just too cute! Seriously, you've got to try the puffed french toast... though I think I saw someone recently refer to them as "Pooh ears" - whatever they're called, they're good! And if you like make-your-own omelettes, they do that there.

I think buffets are very convenient with kids as it gives everyone a chance to try new things or just stick with a few things that they're used to. So 1900, Biergarten, and Akershus all fit that category.

I'm glad you've got a few non-buffets though too, as sometimes it's nice to sit and be served as well. Sci Fi is a very fun place... my boys love eating there. Their Mommy likes the ribs and cookies & cream milkshake! :goodvibes

One thought... what about a meal with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, etc.? Some of these classic characters can be found at a few different places... Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary is popular (and is in the MK area if you want a restaurant there), Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for breakfast is more laid back (from what I hear - trying it in a couple weeks), or you could try Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in AK. Just a thought!

One way or another though, I'm sure you'll have a fun trip! :goodvibes

Happy planning!

Great choice with CP and Norway...both great breakfast...we also like, Tusker House in AK, Chef Mickey's, and Ohana..Chef Mickey's has a great dinner also, as well as, Whispering Canyon in WL. The Plaza we loved our dinner...Good luck:) and Happy Eating...Magical Dreams to your little one....

I have a 3yo DD and she loves Akershus, CP, and 1900 PF breakfast or dinner. Donald's Safari Breakfast is another one of our faves! These are all great choices and sure to please the entire family IMO!

I think your choices are great! :)

I would also consider adding Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House and maybe Le Chefs de France, two of my faves.

Based on your DD's age, I would try and get Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. This can be for your MK day.

Tusker House at AK is one of our faves. We also have enjoyed bfast at Cape May Cafe, I just posted some pics here.

We tried the Plaza at MK last trip and we enjoyed that as well.

All of those are wonderful choices. I especially like the Park Fare at the Floridian. The Floridian is an amazing resort to walk around and enjoy after lunch. Have an excellent trip!

I was actually thinking of Ohana's myself really think taking the boatride( I think that Ohana's isn't it?) over would be cool.
Just I am leaning towards another "sit down" instead of a buffet.
I have a month to think it over.
SO KEEP THE OPINIONS COMING!!!:)

Since you have 1 TS left, add the one TS from Teppan Edo for 2 and eat and CRT (Cinderella's Royal Table). It is a sit down dinner, princesses are there, and how many times do you get to eat at a castle?

We thought about that but I think we have enough character dinners. Plus I wat to keep a variety of food so we can experience more.

I agree! With a four year old daughter, the Cinderella's Royal Table is just amazing.(and imo, much better than Norway). Even though my daughter is almost 7 and past the princess phase, my husband REALLY wanted to go back. We usually do Crystal Palace for dinner, and it is excellent. Maybe breakfast w/Cinderella, dinner w/Pooh? Also, if you don't want another character meal, what about dinner show? Hoop de Doo? They have a seating as early as 5. Or Boma at AK, for a change of pace and animal viewing.

Bump for final choices...Just a couple of weeks away from the 6 month ADR window.

I second the Ohana recommendation. You can watch fireworks from the beach & then go to dinner (or vice versa) it's really nice. Plus there are activities for your daughter (coconut races, etc) and most kids love it.

I don't know if you know this, but Ohana isn't really a buffet. It is a "sit down" in the fact that your server brings dishes to you to enjoy family style. You don't actually go up there to get the food, it comes from the grill & kitchen.

It is all you can eat but it's not a buffet.
