Help with car rental???

We will be making our trip in May and this will be our first ever family trip. We will be flying into SNA and enjoying ourselves at DL for 4 days ! Then we will be making the trip to US and once done there, we will be driving to SD to finish off the last 3 days of our trip. We will need a rental car for the trip from DL to US and then US to SD and then would like to have a car to travel throughout SD.

Does anyone have any recommendations on car rental company?? We will be picking the car up in Anaheim and dropping off in SD.

We just got back from Calif in December (2007) and we did the reverse of you. We started out in San Diego (used our Day's Inn on Hotel Circle's shuttle for Zoo & SW) and drove up to Anaheim, did Universal Studios & then DL for 4days.
We used Enterprise. We had 4 adults & 1 kid & we rented a mid size SUV & got a Saturn w/3 rows of seats (7-8 people). We had no problem w/enterprise & they picked you up & dropped you off for free (just call ahead). That was a big thing for us - I didn't want to take a cab to get a rental car & we weren't getting the car at the start of the trip or the end, so airport wasn't an option for us. We even turned in the car w/a little over 1/2 tank (thats what we started with) and they gave us a coupon for a free 1/4 tank of gas for the next rental.
We had no problems & would recommend a one way w/Enterprise.
