Help with book club pick please!

Moloka'i by Alan Brennert was a really good book. everyone who i recommend it to has liked it. also water for elephants was a very good book.

Those were some of our best book club discussions......this month we are reading One Thousand White Women.

How is it so far? I have it on my Wishlist. It sounds interesting. My personal suggestion is, "The Glass Castle". I also think "Water for Elephants" is a good one. Both should be easy to access.

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan has a lot of good conversation topics, and you can usually find plenty of copies of it at used bookstores and the library.

We read The Other Boleyn Girl in a book club, it was fun, not my normal read.

I'm reading Every Last One right now and was thinking that would be a good book club book. Esp if it's a group of moms


I'm listening to Loving Frank in the car. That would be a good choice, as well

You have already read some great ones! A book I really liked was The Bonesetters Daughter by Amy Tan. Another is Major Pettigrew's Last Stand.
Trying to get my daughter, who read voraciously - just devours books - to read The Witch of Blackbird Pond.

Its very good! I have read it before and when it was chosen for book club I knew I wouldnt mind reading it again!

I haven't read thru all the posts so don't know if this one's been mentioned, but I just finished The Recipe Club, and it was very enjoyable and I could see lots of potential for discussion.
