Help with birthday ideas..?

Hi,

I'm trying to organise something as a surprise for DBF for his birthday while we are there. I'd like to get him a cake but unfortunatley we're not stayin at a WDW resort, we're staying at a hotel in I-Drive instead.

Does anybody know if there's anywhere I can order a cake from other than WDW? and to possibly have it delivered?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm afraid I can't help with this, but bumping in case someone has some experience of offsite deliveries of this kind.

You can arrange for a cake to be delivered at the end of your meal at any WDW restaurant.

Not sure about a cake but have you checked out the Cookies at Cookies by Design - they also have 2 stores in Orlando. They do Disney themed ones and they look scrummy.

I'll have a look at that now. I'm going for lunch at a Disney restaurant on my birthday so I might just highjack my own birthday & get him a cake then instead

He's actually not really into the whole Disney thing though, he's more of a Marvel comics kinda guy I've seen a really cool cake on the Publix website so I might see if I can order one and just go pick it up somehow.

if you go to the CR you can request a diver hold up a happy bday card with his name on, and you can get personalised menus (with his photo on!) there too,

Just a thought, when we ate at california grill in june it was my 22nd bday, and at the end of the meal they brought this huge choc cheesecake (yum) with a candle and a large milk choc sign saying happy bday! It was really nice and not 2 over the top!

If you ask them they should do something like that for you!

Could be worthwhile I think their cakes are $20 or so but they stock lots of other stuff too.

I think we're gonna eat at Hard Rock Cafe at CityWalk on his birthday, and we'll probably be in IOA during the day.

If you are going to be in IOA on the day and HR on the evening why don't you contact Universal Customer services and see if they can arrange a Spiderman cake or something for you. Always worth a try!

not sure if you ca still do it but when it was my dh birthday 3 years ago i took him for breakfast with spiderman at ioa he loved it !! I told them on arrival that it was his birthday and the characters made a big fuss of our table !!
