I cut my pictures to look like water drops and planned to use back ground paper that looked like water but it seems to make the pictures just "wash' out and not stand out.
I thought about matting my drops with a dark blue and then using that water paper but what work! (OK SO I AM A LITTLE LAZY!) so any ideas? I've looked at sites and most use light blue paper.

Perhaps you could chalk the edges of the water drops or use a marker to outline? Just a thought... I'm horrible at picturing things in my head so just ignore me if this sounds dumb!

Never thought about chalk! You might have something there! I have a box of chalk I never use! Well I did once but I am not very creative! LOL! But I think I will give it a try on some spare pieces first!
I also thought maybe if I made a huge dark blue and med blue and maybe a 3rd blue and kind of over lapped them and then put the water splat picture might work too!
This is what always happens when I try to be creatvie! I hit a block!

Maybe you could use a few cardstock circles and rectangles to resemble some pool toys like inner tubes or air mattresses, Place your water drop photos on them in an off center sort of way. You could pop dot them out to get them off the page. Cut your pool water down about an inch and mount it on a darker blue or even a plaid.

What about doing a layering thing using a white background page, then attaching vellum that you've chalked lightly with blue and green? Attach the vellum creatively, with eyelets or stitching. If you wanted to do something like drops, you could put them *behind* the vellum for a neat look.

WOW! You guys are good! I must say I have never stitched or used eyelets or pop dots! Plus I am a little scared of vellum! But I think I may look into the vellum. I have some and that might be nice with making some darker blue splashes and use it as an over lay. I also want to try chalking the edges to give a little glistening!
I must say this is a huge jump for me! and it has been fun!
Thanks everyone!
