My sister is expecting a baby in three weeks. Her requirements for a baby name are ideally that the name be spelled and pronounced the same in English and Hungarian. Also since the first child's name is Emily, a more American name, that the second childs name is a more traditionally Hungarian name. (They live in the US, but his family is still in Hungry)

The current front runner is Kinga. (Yes, its for a girl)

Does anyone have any other suggestions I could offer?

Other E names would not be good, they want to break from the family tradition of naming all the kids with the same first letter.

I think Kinga is nice. Very unique but not hard to figure out how to pronounce. I also like Mara, Marika, and Sarika

I like these names WAY more than Kinga. As someone with a somewhat unusual ethnic name, I'd be very jealous of my sister Emily!

I'll admit, I needed to look at an online list of Hungarian baby names. I like the following names:

* Alida
* Aliza (I really wanted to name my daughter this, but hubby shot it down)
* Amalia

(Can you tell I like "A" names?) ;)

....not much a fan of Kringa. The parents may like it, but this is a name the child will have to live with all HER life.

Oh, Kinga...I don't think the little girl would like that one, :(

I like:

Ada
Adel
Ana
Cecilia (and the Hungarian nickname Cili)

Rebeka is cute. I think it goes well with Emily too. I also like Kinia.
