Help with Baby Name for a boy

/
Had this baby-to-be been a boy, his name would have been Sebastian. Also on our short-list was Oliver, Wyatt, Jackson, and Travis. Hmm, we had a bunch more initially, but I can't seem to think of the rest right now.

BTW, I don't know where you live, but we're in Washington, DC and my son is Henry. He was named after my father and we thought he'd be the only Henry around. We have literally met about 8 other Henrys between school and camps. And then random kids in the mall are Henry, the playground, etc. They are all over!! We never expected that with his name at all.

Honestly, the more plain the name the less likely you are to have another in a class :lmao:. The Davids', Michaels' and Matthew's have it easy compared to the Aidens, Jaidens and Laquiinquleata's these days.

Isn't that the truth? My oldest son is named John. We were warned by everyone we knew NOT to name him "such a common name." Well. I don't think he ever had a single other John in his classroom. We have more trouble with the fact that we also have an UNCLE John.

I'm with you on the trendy names, I don't want to stick my child with some weird name he'll hate me for!

I like:

William
George (Georgie is cute for when he's little)
Theodore (Teddy is a sweet nickname)
Joshua
Jack
Harry
Brian
Jamie

I was also going to suggest William, Henry, Thomas, George and Christian. All good solid names that you won't hear in every play-group. William is a popular name in my family, but each one goes by something different: Bill, Will, William, and TOM  Thomas is also popular with us and we have several Toms, Tommys, and Thoms. George is a name that goes back 5 generations on my husband's side. In fact, all three of my kids bear the name: John George Christopher(named for his father and grand-father, George Christopher), Christian Thomas George, and my daughter, Eleni Catherine Georgette!:lovestruc

Interesting and a lot of good suggestions. . .I'm partial to Ian and Eli, but Geoffrey (or Jeffery, Jeffrey) seems to go well with Wyatt.

Oh...how about Philip?
I've only met one little boy named Philip. He's 8 or 9. The other one I know is 29. The only others have passed away now and were in their 70s and 80s.

Everytime I see a boy baby name thread or an unusual name thread I always post my DH name. I love it and he is the only one that I know of or have ever heard of having a name like it:

Kerrick

I hope you like it as much as I do. And I hope this helps. Good luck.

Jeffrey Wyatt is nice....

Jeremy Wyatt
Nathaniel Wyatt
Daniel Wyatt
Jacob Wyatt
Gregory Wyatt
Thomas Wyatt
Ethan Wyatt
Isaac Wyatt
