We are going to be at WDW in May on my birthday. Age really doesn't matter at WDW, but just so you know I'll be turning 39. I was wondering what everyone's views might be on my birthday dinner. I was thinking about the HOOP DE DOO REVIEW, but I'm just not sure. I'm thinking about maybe Chef Mickey's or another restaurant and ordering a b-day cake? Our daughter is also a consideration. She is 7 and I want her to enjoy herself. I'm thinking she might really enjoy a birthday celebration at WDW even if it's not hers (we wanted to do her b-day at WDW which is in August, but August is too busy a time for my DH's business). Let me know what you all think. Looking for some ideas!! :)

We liked Hoop-de-doo...but there's soo much going on and so many folks in the audience that you may not be able to get that special treatment. If it were my 7 year old I think she'd love Chef Mickey's (if you want pics with the characters at your dinner) or Whispering Canyon..only because you'll probably get a good deal of fun attention that she'd never forget. There are no characters there but they have some fun and loud/crazy antics that make every meal a celebration. I also like Liberty Tavern...character interaction there is the best and it's charming eating in the 1700's! :)

Happy Birthday!!!

Make sure you stop by Guest Services at your first park entry that day (or even the day before if you will be having breakfast outside of a park) and get and wear a "Today is My Birthday" button. It is free and it might improve your day.

I'm all about CHef Mickey's! Hoop de doo is fun, but CHef Mickey's has the disney characters, and it's more of a "disney" atmosphere. Before I even read your entire post I was going to suggest it! I'm going to WDW in 2 weeks with 2 other couples, and all of us ladies have b-days in Feb, so we're "celebrating" our first night there at CHef Mickey's! Have a great time whatever you choose:-)

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I think we are going to go to Chef Mickey's for dinner the night of my b-day. I have a couple more questions though...

1. What part of the restaurant should we asked to be seated in? I've heard there are "good" places to sit and then there are "bad" places to sit!

2. We will have enough time to get back to the MK for the fireworks and the evening parade? We don't want to miss these two events.

Thanks for all of your help!!! :)
