We are finally going to take the plunge and purchase AP's. I have a few questions for all of you AP veterans out there.

First of all can you use your Disney Club card to get a discount at the Disney Store on AP's?? I need two adults and two children.

Next, what do you need to have with you at Disney to activate the AP's?? Driver's license, etc? If you do need any of that, what about AP's for your kids? Mine are 8 & 9 and don't yet have any ID. Do they still use a fingerprint for a scan for admission???

Are you able to activate the AP's at the resort when you check in or just in the parks?? How long does it take to activate each pass?

Any other advice you have for us would be welcomed! We can't wait to be able to take quick trips down to Disney and our admission be paid for!

Lastly, typically what are the AP rate discounts in November for ASMo? Anybody remember?

TIA

Hi, I will try my best to answer your questions!

Yes, you can

Yes, you need your drivers license with you to activate and always carry it with you from that point on, if the finger scan does not work, they will check your ID. They do not require ID for children. Yes, they still use the finger scan for admission each time.

Are you able to activate the AP's at the resort when you check in or just in the parks?? How long does it take to activate each pass?
They cannot activate your pass at your resort, it has to be done at a guest relations window. They have these at all 4 theme parks and there is one in Downtown Disney. This only takes about 5-10 min.

Any other advice you have for us would be welcomed! We can't wait to be able to take quick trips down to Disney and our admission be paid for!
I recomend going to WDWIG.com and reading all the info she has on AP. She lists all the discounts for resturants, tours, ect. Here is a link: AP Info

Sorry, I dont know any info about AP room discounts!

You can also exchange vouchers at any theme park ticket window.

BTW, there are two Guest Relations offices at DTD - one in the Marketplace and one in West Side - and they can both exchange your voucher.

I purchased my AP last fall at one of the Disney Stores at the airport. I was able to use my DC discount and bypassed the voucher altogether (the MCO Disney Stores sell regular passes, not vouchers). The first time I used it, I just went to the regular gate, did the biometric finger scan, and passed through with no muss, no fuss. If you're flying in, it might be a good option.

EPCOT also has two guest relations offices. One is at the main entrance(front of park) and the other is at the International Gateway.
