I'm headed out in October and trying to decide on where to stay. I was there last October and stayed at the Grand Californian, they upgraded us to a park view room which was excellent. I love coming back to the room at night to find they had turned down the bed and stuff. So my question is... do I go for the Grand Californian again? Or do I do Disneyland Hotel concierge? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I've don't go conceirge since I usually travel since our party size doesn't justify it. I prefer the GCH because of I love going back and forth to my room, and I like the style of the hotel. But I like the DLH also and it has some benefits for some situations:

Some benefits of DLH:
Larger rooms
A little more kid friendly with a more playful pool, Goofy's Kitchen
More Disney theming
More shops and restaurants
More festive IMO
Nice grounds

Some benefits of GCH:
PROXIMITY! (especially if you are reasonably close to an elevator)
Newer
Better laundry facilities
quieter
Lovely (IMO)

I'd go for GCH, but if you have kids that like to swim a lot, a fair number in your party so that the room size and concierge benefit are more important, and you don't mind walking more, DLH may be a better choice.
