Ash-leeng. It's an Irish language name, and depending on regional accent, the final g may or may not be pronounced. People don't get Ashley from the spelling, they get it from hearing it pronounced, because Ashley is common in America, and that's what they assume that they are hearing.
I expect that as she gets older she may even decide that it's less trouble to let people call her Ashley if they want. The nickname that we use is Rosie, for her middle name, Rose.
