need help planning our arrival day. We will be driving in from Fort Myers after visiting my in-laws for a few days. We will arrive at Disney on Sunday - February 26th - probably about mid afternoon. We are renting points and staying at the BWV. (Very excited about that). Original plan was to maybe just hang around and maybe head over to Epcot or MGM or go to Ohana's for Dinner. Then I thought maybe do Fantasmic Dinner Package and see Fantasmic that night. Or, Head over to Whispering Canyon (never been there) and have dinner then maybe go to the campfire. Then I see that the Magic Kingdom is having an EMH in the evening. They are already open til 10:00 - so, then they will be open til 1:00 (wouldn't stay that late anyway). Wondering if we should head over there for a while but not sure if it will be too crowded - UOG lists all of our days as 5's. I have never done an EMH and not sure of the crowds during that time. So, many decisions so little time. I would like to make some ADR's. Just don't know where to go and on what days. So confusing. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks.

It can be confusing but try not to stress to much. What we usually do our first night is head over to Epcot and hit few rides and have a nice dinner some where then watch Illuminations which is one of our favorites. Maine :firefight

I know for us we have to hit MK first thing. Gives us our confirmation that we have made it to WDW. But we realize that when we arrive it will most likely be crowded, so our plan is to just take it easy and soak it all in. We try not to rush to any rides. If a ride has a short line, then we take it. But we mainly just try to catch a show or parade. We plan another full day at MK (usually on Tues) where we will arrive at opening and hit all of our fav rides.

But again, this is just our plan. The best thing is whatever you choose you can be happy to know that you are in WALT DISNEY WORLD!!!! :goodvibes

My Parents are near Ft Myers also. I hope your's fared as well as mine dring Wilma.
We have done that drive and ended up stoping to eat lunch on the highway at BK before we checked in to the resort. That way the kids were not starving and cranky. After we got things settled, we went to MK but knew it might be crowded. A Sunday might be better and if not if you have Hoppers, you can go over to Epcot after you take your look at the Castle. That is what says Disney to me! Have a great time.
