I'm helping some friends plan their July trip to Disney. They bought the standard dining plan, but would like some extra meals and don't mind paying for a few meals out of pocket - in addition to the dining plan. Of the following 2 credit restaurants, which would be best to pay for out of pocket?

Hoop Dee Doo
Spirit of Aloha
Brown Derby Fantasmic package dinner
Le Cellier dinner
Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch

I probably would have said Brown Derby, but the Fantasmic package is quite pricey. I'm finding that the prices all range from the late $50's to early $60's per person. Thoughts? :confused3

we paid for HDD out of pocket last trip because it was the cheapest per TS credit.

They should look over the menu at Le Cellier to get a better handle on pricing. Since that's the only one where they could order a la carte, it might be the best option to pay out of pocket and split a meal or order an appetizer instead of an entree. But, if they want the most expensive thing on the menu, one of the others would be the better choice.

WE have gone to restaurants and use DDP for some of the people and paid cash for others. This works nicely for me since many times I am happy with just an appetizer and a few bites of someone else's dessert.
