We arrived in Anaheim last night and had our first day in the park today. We had intended to use MM for Disneyland today, but we got in so late and were just too tired. We chose to go to Disneyland today anyway, and it wasn't bad in the morning, but became very full by afternoon. We will go back in a bit this evening (is there a time things settle down? It's a grad night, unfortunately, and it does seem like there are a TON of kids that age in the park).

My question is how to do our next two days. We have just one MM. We want to do one more day in DL and one in CA. Tomorrow is another grad night, Thursday is not. Which day would be better for which park, and which one to use our MM? I kind of wanted to use it for DL, because I think we will like DL best (have never been to CA). We are a family of six, and half of us don't like the big rides, and only ride the sedate ones.

Any advice?

Would also take advice for this evening. Not sure when to go back, or what to do. We aren't planning on staking out spots for any entertainment. We'll see what we see as far as that goes, and would probably rather take the chance to ride something while the lines are shorter.

Thanks in advance!

If you are staying at one of the Disneyland hotels, you get early entry every day, DL one day, DCA the next. If you are staying off site, the 3 Day and longer tickets include the one early entry to Disneyland only. Either way, not all of the parks are open so you are limited to certain attractions. I liked our Disneyland early entry day because we could hit everything that was going in Fantasyland, plus the Nemo submarines and Autopia before their lines got long and slow. I am not positive what rides they open in DCA for early entry... But Disneyland was Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. I found the influx of grads toward the end of the day really affected the experience, but others have disagreed. We noticed that the rides got louder and the Fastpasses got snatched up quickly, but it wasn't the end of the world.

I loved riding Big Thunder Mt. Railroad, Casey Jr. Circus Train, the Matterhorn, Storybookland Canal Boats, Radiator Springs Racers, and the rides on Paradise Pier at night! So pretty! Lots of lines diminished right before closing, and the grads should be migrating to their night events at California Adventure.

Have fun!

Ride Matterhorn during your MM. It just reopened on Friday and is popular right now. It's not worth waiting to ride it at night. The line for BTMRR moves fast, save that one for later if you want a nighttime coaster.

If you just have the one MM, then your only remaining option is to use it on Thursday.

Thanks, I didn't know MM was only for DL (we are staying offsite). We would have been really unhappy to get up early and head to CA tomorrow only to find it wasn't open to us! Especially because we just got back and are so tired. Crowds were insane tonight. I don't know what is normal, but it wasn't anything like this last time we came. Extremely difficult to get from point A to point B. Wall-to-wall people.

I'm tempted now to just go with the strategy of going to the park opposite EMH, so DL tomorrow, CA Thursday. We would miss using our MM, but maybe we're not up to it anyway. Certainly not if we're as exhausted every night as we are tonight.
