I have the following resorts that I am trying to decide:

It is for 3 nights in mid-May:

POFQ King size room $96 per night plus tax (comeback rate)
WL standard view $124 per night plus tax (postcard rate) or
WL woods view $140 per night plus tax (postcard rate)

How are these rates and which one would you choose? I have 2 kids, they are almost 5 and 2 by then.

Thanks:D

WL woods view and ask for a Courtyard upgrade at check in.

We paid $224 for the WL Courtyard so I think either WL rate is very good.

Elk34,

I read your comments on your recent stay at WL, so when I saw your name, I figured you would be recommending WL woods view. This one really tempts me if I can get the $35 upgrade like you did

:D

...go for the std view WL @ $124!!! Yes, you can always ask if a complimentary upgrade is possible at check-in. If not, hey, you are at the BEST PLACE ON EARTH!!

I'd pick either of the WL, if you are willing to pay more-- those are great rates! But if you are feeling frugal, you can't go wrong with POFQ!

If money is an object, don't hesitate to stay at POFQ. We stayed there 2 years ago when the kids were 5 and 2 1/2. They loved the pool area. It is very well suited for young children. In fact, we are talking of going back and staying at a deluxe and the kids keep saying that they want to stay at the place with the great pool again.

WL woods view!! Great rate, and for me personally, knowing you'll have a nice view is worth at least $40/nt. I would ask for complimentary upgrade to Courtyard View as well. There is just a huge difference in staying at a deluxe over a moderate - so go for it.

Wilderness Lodge . I would probably take woods view since it isn't that much cost different and you're only talking about a few nights. That's a great rate and my theory is if you can go DELUXE versus moderate - do it. These rates aren't that different. Why not enjoy the amenities of a deluxe resort. Not to mention Wilderness Lodge is gorgeous.

Hmmmm.....

Have never stayed at WL but POFQ is our favorite moderate!!!!

I would choose WL standard room. We did the standard room last summer at $129/night and upon check-in, realized we were upgraded to not woods, but courtyard. Did we hit the lottery or what?

Wilderness Lodge all the way! The WL has the most wonderful theming, Disney really out did themselves with this resort!

You can always ask for a complimentary upgrade upon arrival. Even if you don't get one, you'll still have a room with a balcony, something you can't get at PO-FQ. We were upgraded to a Woods View in January, we looked across to the WL Villas. It was a very quiet location.

If you think your kids would like bunkbeds, request those as well. It was great for my two boys, who are at an age where they refuse to sleep with each other. I think bunkbeds for a family resort is a great concept, and wish more hotels had them!

We have never stayed at WL either, but if we got those rates we would stay there also! I have stayed at PORF before and really liked it so there is no doubt I probably would like FQ also. I have always wanted to stay at a deluxe though. I say go for WL all the way!
